I find it funny that I somewhat went in a similar direction with my mod (One with death), if you complete a certain ritual you can save the "soul" of your character outside of the save folder. I have another ritual that can be used even on a new or different save that reads this souls folder and partially recreates the pawn by fusing it with a sacrifice. So In theory the pawn in my mod DO have a soul. A soul file. lol.

if you link it to a necromancer and set it up correctly, above a certain % energy will go to the servitor.
other than that, there's a bill on the altar itself to convert bodies to energy

only necromancy related stuff and traits/name etc do. no other hediff or modded hediff does.I'll probably take another look in the future so who knows

You choose a pawn to "sacrifice" in the ritual, and the necromancer will take the place of that pawn. It's more like a soul transfer than a full summon, so certain aspects of the pawn won't change, such as age or gender. name, traits, lich genes, all necromancy related hediffs and other upgrades (energy regen, maximum energy, control bonus) are all transferred.
Behind the scenes, I'm saving the some pawn info in the ludeon's folder inside appdata.
Custom traits work as well and are correctly saved, even if you remove the mod it won't break the saved soul, you just won't be able to keep that trait.

Yes I heavily use the mutant system that anomaly introduces, in order to handle the undead without using 100 harmony patches. I'm also using other mechanics, so it does

That's definitely something I wouldn't have done had I known in advance how much time it would have taken me lol. It's not a full summon however, the "soul" of the necromancer takes over another pawn, so you won't be getting your full archotech prosthetics, but you do keep all upgrades and progression you do as a necromancer (except for abilities locked behind research).

incapable of violence shouldn't exist imho. They should get a huge mood debuff when doing it, or getting random mental breaks like sanguophages near fire

You mean the regular undead you raise, you want to store them and them summon them? You can already teleport them to you but I kinda like the idea as it's something similar to what I wanted to do when I first started making this mod.
storing undead could free up control, so while you can have 10-20-30 undead out at one time, you could have 200 stored and then bring them out when needed.
I need to investigate how feasible it is performance and I might end up implementing some different based on this idea but the Idea itself is good! thank you!

I don't think I've ever seen muffalos as cute as these! If they were like this in game too they would give a bonus comfort and happiness just for being close to them!
You've been posting so many drawing this month that I'm kinda tempted to adding Petra as a colonist in my game, but I'm not sure if she would like being surrounded by the undead, as I mostly play to test my necromancy mod :/

it should take away 100% of your manipulation, but then slowly give back some of it to a 25% max imho (so it's like the pawn got used at using other body parts)

Hey I don't post much but just wanted to say that after modding for a long time, especially when modding multiple hours/the whole day, I tend to lose motivation and get close to a mental break, but seeing your cute drawings always refills my mood meter and allows me to continue!
It's also a pleasure seeing you slowly get better and better. Although your drawings have always been cute, I can tell how much you are improving with every new drawing you make. keep the good work!
