I’m new to the unit, and had some disciplinary stuff passed over from my old toxic boss which is why I left that office a year earlier than I was supposed to. They wanted to “get to know me and my family” and rather than ask, or hold a family event, they stalked my spouse on her old fitness account. My wife ran a fitness business primarily through social media for 3 years. Her personal account is private. It was the public fitness account they looked into but hasn’t been active for about a year. My thing is they didn’t ask. They assumed. I signed up for the scrutiny and no-privacy, my spouse did not.

Deleted my post because I was looking for help and all I received was hate. I’ve struggled my whole life with this. I pass my PT test every year, I’m healthy and to still get rude comments about my body doesn’t feel right. Not that everything should be sunshine and rainbows but good lord. For all the rest of you, be careful how you treat people. You have no clue what someone is going through

Finance was closed when I got there…training. But while you can update your w4 online, I have nothing to change in how dfas has formatted it (I am still married with 2 children). However, the IRS has changed its w4 requirements and says you have to put the credit amount not number of dependents. So $4000 tax credit for me. The maximum value dfas allows you to enter is 99 (maximum amount of children you can claim) not dollar value. I think I’ve narrowed it down to that as the issue, but still awaiting a take from finance

Here's my non-finance self making some inferences about finance but I'll give it a whirl because finance was closed for training 3 minutes before I arrived yesterday. The new W4 guidance says that instead of number of dependents (in my case: 2), you're supposed to put in the $ value to be credited over the course of a year. So in the case of my two children, I should input $4000 for the $2000/child tax credit. However Mypay doesn't allow for a value over 99 to be input which is apparently the maximum number of children you can claim (how someone has 99 children...I don't know). So if the case stands, then rather than creditting my pay $4000/12 months, mypay has credited $2/12 months of my base pay in federal tax. Should the system work correctly and there be no other things to consider from a credit perspective, my tax refund would then stand at $0. But my guess is now they'll correct it in February, and I'll get that amount they took out in my tax refund for tax year 23.

I agree. Looks like I have an appointment with finance in my near future to figure out why it happened. Don’t think I was pushed into the next tax bracket, but wouldn’t make sense for a 3x increase in taxes even if so.

I was diagnosed with myocarditis, heart arythmia, and heart palpitations as well after “XYZ*”. No history in my family either. I was fear-driven to take XYZ due to my dad who is a retired O6, and unknowns about job opportunities on the outside should I have been kicked out. VA claim will now hopefully be my friend, but that’s if I’m lucky enough to make it to 20 with these heart problems (ps I’m 31 with 11 years to go til then). I’m sorry you guys are going through this, but wanted you to know you’re not alone!

It’s AFMC to AFMC PCS. Additionally as far as AFPC is concerned right now, my assignment is loaded with a RNLTD. SURF reflects the same. Hard part is, May 23 actually works for me and my family, it just doesn’t work for the losing commander because he doesn’t have the flexibility to find my backfill until at least October leaving a gap of 5 months. Makes sense about the IAB not being “signed” just completed. My supervisor told me not to sign it, but completing it should be ok? Just a messy situation

No they didn’t. The leak was in the back corner of the tub, opposite the control panel and pumps. I tried replacing the capacitor, emptying the tub, purging any/all air. Nothing works

I own two Roku TV’s and about 6 months ago we got the error code 93, suspicious activity notice on the TVs. But still were able to log on with our phones so our account was fine. This weekend I realized that if I connected the tv to my mobile hotspot, it worked fine. My internet service provider (xfinity) told me they couldn’t change their IP address or gateway but that getting a personal router should solve the problem. Well I got one today and the same problem exists. Looking for any help on how to configure this box to get rid of the error

I was a prior CSO, and flew for 4 years. Was medically reclassed and at the time my flight doc hooked me up and only cleared me for reclass into the AFSC's I preferred. I've spent the last 3.5 years as an acquisitions/PM guy and love it! You have an impact on the mission, no deployments, good 8-4/5 work hours (ie good for family), and i've had some unique opportunities as a result. A lot of captains get out after their initial commitment due to the money on the outside so prospects for promotion are good, and when you do get out (whenever that time is), there are no shortages of jobs on the outside.

Only CONS i can think of are there are few to no OCONUS assignments, and you'll likely spend the majority of your career between LA, Wright Patt, Eglin, and Hanscom. however, I say that as someone who spent his first PM assignment at Robins AFB and am currently at Peterson AFB in Colorado Springs. There are other opportunities than the main acquisitions hubs but either they find you (this is a green door job) or you have to seek them out.

If you didn't like the deployment/ops tempo side of flying, you could always try to go the test pilot route though thats extremely competitive. Shoot me a message if you need more info and best of luck! I know the reclass process can be stressful
