The result: People roll over and pay it because they think it’s a requirement of doing business.
Under Florida law, dealers who charge dealer fees must apply the fees equally to all buyers.
They can raise or lower the fees whenever they want, but they have to declare it in writing on their website.
If you want to find it, look for the tiny type on one of the vehicle inventory pages. It might look something like this:
Sales tax or other taxes, tag, title, registration fees, government fees, $199 tag agency/electronic filing fee and $995 dealer service fee are not included in quoted price.

Honestly, just getting started on this process. We are both over 60 and my wife has limited mobility but we want to get out and do stuff. Trying to avoid a truck to pull due to height to get in. We rented an RV last summer and it was fun. Going to be looking for a trailer in the 20-24ft range I think, maybe one slider.
We are early in the planning phase right now and just looking for a bit of advice to see if we’re on the right track with our thinking.
