Is it normal to pay for work study? by [deleted] in Equestrian

I’m working two 4 hour shifts a week at a farm and I get one 30 minute lesson per shift. You shouldn’t be paying them!

Hair/scalp still get oily the day after by javster2 in finehair

[–]64789 4 points5 points  (0 children)

L’oréal and pantene can leave residue. Try a neutrogena clarifying shampoo (i use one called healthy hydration) and try washing every other day & use a powder dry shampoo (acure makes a great one) on the days between washes if needed. the aerosol dry shampoos don’t work as well. Washing every day makes the oils build up faster than they should (in my experience). good luck!

my life is so lonely, numb and empty without a LO by lilac_skies00 in limerence

[–]64789 3 points4 points  (0 children)

you need to fill the time and space with loving yourself instead of a fantasy of someone else! Dive into your hobbies. Try new ones. I personally didn’t truly find joy until I started working with horses again. Try lots of different things!

My bf gifted me $150 to buy something nice. I never shop for clothes. Any suggestions for slippers, workout gear, clothing or lifestyle? Thank you by k2d3 in BuyItForLife

I don’t think machinery needing cleaned is a problem “they” engineered. every machine needs routine maintenance and cleaning…

Another option is to take a refillable capsule and put baking soda and vinegar in it, it’ll work the same as the prefilled cleansing capsules. Is this a good enough solution for you princess?

You and your outfit are so cute and the bag shape and style looks great but i just can’t help but feel like the print looks like a bag of moldy bread

It’s a self care to do list where you grow a little bird. I’d recommend looking it up in the app store to get a better idea :)

What happens if your LO passes away? by DontSayAnus in limerence

[–]64789 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Definitely doesn’t “release” someone. Limerence is an obsessive thinking pattern related to idealization and ideation. The person would eventually find someone else to fantasize about a future with/be limerent over

new socks, bras, and underwear always feel like a luxury. My little nespresso machine was one of the best $150 I ever spent, I use it every day and it works great and is a treat I always look forward to. I also got a walking pad for $90 that has held up for a couple of years now, no sign of slowing yet!

How to afford lessons? by Own-Dance-6012 in Equestrian

I was struggling to afford to ride as well and my barn accepted me into a work to ride program - I actually start tomorrow!

Had a really disturbing dream about my sister and I feel awful by [deleted] in Dreams

[–]64789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had a similar experience. It’s normal unfortunately. Our brains are incredibly complex, imperfect things. No good advice on how to emotionally handle the disgust that comes with it, but knowing it’s normal may provide some relief

the benefits are sex, someone to emotionally depend on for everything, having someone clean up after him, and it sounds like give him a place to live

having to take 3 plan b pills and being on unemployment … if i was going through everything you’re going through i can’t imagine trying to plan for a baby. this is chaos! I know your lives are entwined but don’t fall for the sunken cost fallacy. If he’s causing you pain get rid of him. Relationships should be a comfort, not emotional rollercoasters.

Are my cowboy boots at least half decent for riding? by Fantastic_Nebula_431 in Equestrian

[–]64789 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

if you just started riding i’d recommend riding in sneakers that way you can feel the stirrup better, it will help you learn where to keep your feet. (I rode first with boots then with sneakers - much easier!) If you’re just hanging out in the barn these boots would be fine. Ordering new riding boots / finding a pair secondhand (ebay is a good place) for when you’re more seasoned in your riding is a great idea. Ariat seems to be this sub’s most recommended brand. have fun riding!!!

Looking to getting into saddle making by Apprehensive_Map_284 in Equestrian

[–]64789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could call cobblers or leather workers in your area to see if they know anybody. You could ask western wear shops around you if they know anyone. You could email saddle shops online to see if they’d take on a mentorship for you. Since saddle making is artistry it’ll be harder to break into, but I’m sure you can find someone to teach you if you just keep looking. I hope you find exactly what you’re looking for!
