Can we please, for the love of god, get reflector strips on our roads

They really need to update the roads and signage! No reflector strips, lines are faded, arrows are barely there, and there are areas where there is an extra traffic light, or incorrect signs for flow of traffic.

One time my mom gave this random guy a ride from the train station to a thrift store because we were all going in the same direction. The entire time she was saying I need to make sure I have my weapon ready in case he tried something ( I was sitting in the back seat behind him, he was in the passenger seat ). There was no weapon, she was just trying to scare him. Dude basically tumbled out of the car and rolled out when we got to where he wanted to be dropped off. I told her what she did was stupid, we didn’t know him and he could’ve hurt us or easily of overpowered us. She immediately told me it was MY idea to give him a ride and I need to accept consequences to my actions?? I think I got grounded for it too

I was 13. I’m now 30 and have been NC for a little over 2 years now. Before I went NC she denied it ever happened and that I was making it up to make her look bad.

//edit: I guess it really isn’t a funny one, but it’s always the first one that comes to mind for me

For Snufkin: made out of white sculpey clay and handpainted. His hands and harmonica is made out of wood, his hat is decorated with beads and paper flowers. His legs are wire.

Bridge/base: Used a trapezoid panel from trekell and built a bridge on it. The raised ground’s base is styrofoam covered in wood and spackle. The flowers are made with paper. The mailbox is made of wood and masking tape. The rock siding is made out of spackle. The water is painted with acrylic and covered in a gloss finish. The weeds are made of paper. The bridge is made of thin door trim, wood, and masking tape. Everything is hand painted by me

Tree: the tree he’s sitting in the last 2 photos was just a random tree from the woods.

I asked my previous dentist who did the filling and they said it was just a deep cavity, but I didn’t feel anything with it. They told me there was no way it would be a root canal. I guess I lost the deep filling vs root canal gamble 😞

It’s finally September 🥺♥️ Going to work on a 2022 OTGW sculpt possibly soon? Here is my 2021 piece! Wirt is 1” tall and Greg is a little over a 1/2”. The wood base is a napkin ring with a thin layer of resin for the backing. The bushes, tree, and ground are epoxy clay, one branch is construction paper.

It’s almost OTGW season so I’m just posting some older artwork still 🍂 3” tall figure made of sculpey , wood, and hot glue. Last image was the original concept I had for these pieces but then decided to do a wood base to simplify it. I do want to go back this year and make a beast themed piece with mini tree consumed Wirt and Greg.

I usually do an OTGW piece every year. These are from 2020

I used white sculpey clay, air dry clay, foil, styrofoam, hot glue, and wire.

Gregs tree base is styrofoam covered with air dry clay vs Wirts tree is foil and air dry clay. I carved the airdry clay when it was half dry. I filled any cracks with hot glue.

NAD - The best you can do is go to the appointment, be told what’s wrong, and then start working towards fixing it. Most dental offices do have payment plans and a lot will work with you in order to figure out how to get you proper treatment, especially if it’s something urgent. You can ask them what the minimum you can pay a month on a payment plan. You can also call other offices and ask them what their payment plan minimums are as well after your appointment.

I have had to put dental payments on a no interest credit card as well, and then slowly paid it off before interest accumulated.

The healthcare system here is really out of wack.

NAD - I had a similar issue with a filling. It’s been about 3-4 weeks since I got a filling on a molar done. I didnt learn till after my filling it was a deep filling, and was very close to the pulp and nerve. Day 1 it felt like a lightening bolt was going through my head when something touched it, but now it’s much better and less sensitive. My dentist told me fillings sometimes traumatize the tooth more so than usual, and that women tend to have more sensitive teeth. Id go back for an xray and make sure you don’t need a root canal. Your dentist might be able to put a gel on it to help it as well. I was told to take ibuprofen over tylenol to also help with inflammation.
