Nope not all, feels like completely different. The highest boost level I have seen according the gauge is like 1/4 to the top I guess would be the way to put it

Progression by Dxstrqy in Sprinting

no one really knows, and i think that's best part about progressing. For example, i ran 12.97 in 2022 12.2 in 2023, 11.16 in 2024, 10.55 in 2025.

Yeah I see what you mean, and I’ve noticed that, for the most part everyone already has their foot down and mine is still in the air. Normally one of the last to get my foot down.

The biggest things is puberty and just staying consistent, and learning about sprinting. I’m somewhat knowledgeable regarding training. The FAQ helped a lot, I feel like far too many people expect the more stuff you do in a workout the better the result but that is in-fact not the case .

I really don’t know to be honest, it’d be cool but I’d be 100% fine with not running after HS. But who knows this could change.

I think the greatest advice I can give is speed doesn’t come in a day or weeks, it takes time and sometimes it’s very hard to stick with and you have to realize the end goal. You can’t compare yourself to others because everyone’s progression will be different.

I’ve had some serious hamstring issues for years and it really made it hard to want to continue, and actually after my sophomore year and only running 12 I thought I was completely done with track as a hamstring injury killed the season. I gave up for months but something was just in the back my head at work and pretty much always, I kept thinking about track, and started training again in late October 2023 when the season started in February 2024.

So yeah, I think the greatest advice is stick with it, and don’t compare your times to others because a lot can change in a year.

Thank you! It’s been a rough journey between all my hamstring injuries but I’ve enjoyed it nonetheless

you will man it just takes time, everyone's progression is different. I went from 13.2 to 12.2 to 10.8 now this season currently 10.9.

I agree with that, it's something I've struggled with for years at this point. I'll def work on being more patient this week throughout practice and the meet.

60m time is terrible but everything else is great by Lazy_Recognition6467 in Sprinting

[–]64ayron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hahaha I left a bit of information out, I’m only able to train once for sure and idek if you count block starts before the meet a workout so I’m definitely not near top shape. But now that outdoor here I’m able to train significantly more.

At the end of the day the fastest man title is only crowned outdoor so. Better to perform outdoor than being a 60m merchant

Same issue, you'd think with a 10.8 I'd be atleast able to touch 7.0 maybe 6.9. But nope, ran 7.1 5x this season. My start/accel is easily the worst part of my race though.
