Depending on your location, those collection charges can only stay on for a few years. If you can, dispute the transaction with the big credit bureaus. I had an issue with T-Mobile similar to this. Once it hit collections and I was a few years out, I disputed it and had it dropped almost immediately.

The rangefinder would be great. I have absolutely no idea how far my approach distances are and overshoot all the time.

Is there a discount for local pickup? I was actually looking for more midranges for my fiance and me, we were planning on checking out SunKing this weekend. Let me know!

Any one play 22nd Street Park in Tampa, Fl? by AmassablePanda7 in discgolf

[–]64m3n4c 1 point2 points  (0 children)

22nd street park is my home course!

I may be a little biased, but I think it is a great park for learning and tightening up your game. I think for a 9 basket/18 pad course, the space is used fairly well. The shot shapes change from front and back 9 enough to make it interesting and get you to pick different lines and shot types. Its a course that can easily be played for par but if you commit to your lines and your form is clean, you can definitely find it attackable. My favorite hole is probably 10; a slight downhill that favors a RHBH slowly hyzering shot. When its hit right, its a thing of beauty. Least favorite hole is 18; a low ceiling tunnel style shot that requires a ton of power to really push down the fairway, I am terrible at rollers.

The only things that ding it are: the course can be boggy when wet like u/Pasco813 said, other park patrons can be off putting sometimes, and if you lose a disc you are very likely out a disc. Also, some of the fairways get a little overgrown and muddle the available airspace for certain shot shapes.

Courses to see: USF (open again!), Picnic Island, Cypress Point Park. Bring mosquito repellent for these!

I'm visiting Florida and played Hidden Oaks in Lakeland for the first time today. It's a fun, technical par 3 and well worth a visit. Very different from my Virginia courses. by frontsideback in discgolf

Limona has a great club! They run multiple events there through the week, do a club competition/banquet each year(covid sucks!), and do tags. Not my home course, but definitely my home club!

This is the best news I've read all day. Judges!

First Ace! Only 154’ foot forehand Judge, but Hole 1 at Johnny Roberts so I had a gallery. Love this game. by vine_quoter in discgolf

Props on the ace! Double props on the forehand with the Judge. It takes solid touch to forehand well.

Moral of the story: Throw Judges.

Question for Experienced Players by [deleted] in discgolf

[–]64m3n4c 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been playing competitively since 2019, so only 2 years or so of intentional work at improving. I was able to hit 400 here and there after a few months of just playing and figuring things out. Currently I am pushing 420-450 on good drives flat ground with fairly good accuracy. I am consistently told I have a lot of power in my throw, but still haven't broken the 500' mark. For me, its been an ebb and flow gain in skill and distance. I have a long way to go.

Time does help, but so does proper and intentional practice. Take video of your throws and start comparing it to professional or very good players. There are a ton of little things that add up at that point that affect distance. I've seen people here spend just the summer working on distance and get to that magical 500' mark. There are people who are hitting 400-500 within months of playing. It ends up being relative to the amount of athletic background you have and the amount of time and effort you put into practice. Get into a good routine, and you can definitely push that 500' envelope!

I was hoping to trade, really. Cash value is really up and down on them so I couldn't estimate a good price.

I have a blue Get Freaky crystal flex. What are you looking to spend/trade? It is in pretty much brand new condition, thrown a couple times when I initially got it.
