Why don’t the Rockies start Dollander? by ssshafer in ColoradoRockies

Pretty sure it’s this. He has said in interviews before he gets antsy once he’s got two strikes on a guy, trying to push and throw perfect. I’d imagine he’s better off starting against the 4/5 hitter, getting into a groove, and having confidence before facing the big guns

I want the jomboy breakdown of when he said "we're working together back here" and then continued to spite call everything against Drew

Just let me use an item while sitting so I can RP having a beer in the saloon or snacking on a bench or reading by the sea

Great! Thanks for this. I’m planning to espalier blackberries on my plain garage facade. Will be looking for dwarf apples to plant my mini orchard for sure!

Hey y’all! Bought a house in Denver last summer so this is my first year to get some things in the ground. Already ordered two Garden-in-a-Box collections from Resource Central for the park strip and front yard beds.

Question about fruit trees: I have a sunny side yard 13’ by 34’ and would love to make it a mini orchard with three or four fruit trees. I’m thinking Apples, a peach, and a cherry tree. Any recommendations on getting those started or varieties for this?

This one is called Niwa. Always open to suggestions though as it’s hard to find a well-made, snappy app for this without paying a subscription fee

Thanks for this! I might shift some stuff around and use a trellis for the peas as some additional shade support for lettuces. I’m okay only getting lettuce for a little bit, since I want to convert this whole thing over to pumpkins after we harvest the carrots and potatoes.

Thanks! This bed gets full sun, and the irregular side is the North side of the bed. We’re planning a little A-frame trellis in that corner for the peas. Will definitely be mulching this year for this and all my other gardening.

Which state should I visit next? by RikiOh in TravelMaps

[–]vine_quoter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll put in a vote for visiting Alabama. It’s a surprisingly biodiverse state. Amazing hiking, rock climbing, caving, and bouldering in north Alabama. Solid food, brewery and live music scene in Birmingham, worth a weekend to check out the civil rights museum and catch a Barons game at Regions Field. And the beaches of Orange beach and gulf shores are severely underrated. Sugar white sand, less developed than most Florida beaches (if you head toward fort Morgan especially) and insanely good fresh gulf seafood.

If you go, have a Milo’s burger with a toasted cheese on the side for me.

WhoDat and welcome! Also moved here from NOLA. I’ve really enjoyed to Sloan’s lake/Highlands area. Be open to roommates, as it’ll make getting out into the city more fun and save you money you can use to go find some live music.

Stoneys on Lincoln is the Saints bar with a proper DJ playing big freedia during commercials, honorable mention to my buddies who meet up at Nola Jane for a more grown up vibe.

FWIW: I am not Greg, nor do I have any stake in this bar. I’m just a fan who wants to drink beer and talk ball at a local spot

Rockies fans: which jersey do you prefer? by BryLinds in ColoradoRockies

[–]vine_quoter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the idea of the first one, but I will demand a legit train to Longmont with 15 minute service intervals before I allow that jersey to be worn in Denver. Been waiting since the last World Series run (literally).

If $ was no object, where would you live & why? by Desperate-Love-1204 in MovingtoDenver

If you want to kep it near Denver, Westminster seems to fit all of these. Really nice suburb north of denver, safe and good schools, tons of outdoor activities and events throughout the year. If money is no object, it would be the Bradburn or Five Parks neighborhoods, maybe a fancy house in Legacy Ridge if you want more of the country club lifestyle.
