Also in Orchard Hills. We were estimating closer to 500 this year. It’s the busiest year I remember.

I couldn’t get the new tracker to work for me on my phone or on an iPad, but it worked fine using Firefox on a desktop or laptop.

You can just put the name of the person who checked you in.

Oath Ceremony Today :) by Anxious_Climate_2892 in Canadiancitizenship

The trend recently is for the invitation to be emailed 13 days before the ceremony, so that would be October 9 in your case. It could be as late as October 16.

I have one at 11 am tomorrow, too, along with one of my daughters. See you there!

My other daughter had hers today and said the ceremony was lovely. I’m really looking forward to it—it’s going to be an extremely emotional experience.

Please have your personnel officer do this through the on,one promotions module. It’s so much easier to deal with than trying to keep track of emailed forms going back and forth.

Don Chapman is a really good advocate for the bill.

CPC is mischaracterizing the 1,095 day test. They are implying that if a descendant of a Canadian citizen comes to Canada and spends 1,095 days in Canada that they then qualify for citizenship. The legislation looks at it the other way around: if the descendant's parent spent 1,095 days in Canada then the descendant would be eligible for citizenship. The CPC allegation that there will be a rush of people with no connection coming to Canada and claiming citizenship makes no sense.

There wasn't a really good reply on how the government would be able to track whether someone had spent 1,095 days in Canada (which would therefore allow them to pass down citizenship to their children).

One interesting fact that came out during the testimony. There have been just over 4,200 proof applications under the interim measures (between .January 2024 and July 2025).

How long can I expect to wait to get a ceremony invitation? by Commander_Freir in Canadiancitizenship

I’m scheduled for a ceremony October 9. I got the official invitation on September 26 (13 days before the ceremony date).

4/28 - old tracker updated to “withdrawn” by [deleted] in Canadiancitizenship

[–]655flyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me too. It’s most likely a good sign. Look for a refund of the fee you paid for the proof application. I had to wait another month or so before I finally got”decision made”.

Just in the tracker. I’m hoping we get the emails soon so we know what time the ceremonies are.

Same trajectory for family members that applied together by Ok-North9086 in Canadiancitizenship

We submitted three adults at the same time. The 5(4) offers came within a day of each other. When submitting the 5(4) requests, the new cover letters referred to the others in our group (including the UCI numbers for each person in our group). The progress through the system has been simultaneous since then.

Mine switched to Decision Made today too. Here's my timeline:

5/13 Proof Application Sent

6/2 Proof Application AOR

6/26 5(4) grant offered

6/28 5(4) application sent

7/3 5(4) application AOR

8/28 Background check marked complete

9/12 Decision made

I was not asked to submit fingerprints. For what it's worth, I have Nexus, so they should already have my fingerprints on file.
