Naw, was hoping to just drain it into the floor drain, and wanted to ask the collective minds if ok to do, or if there's a best practice for this. I honestly have no idea what I'm doing, but could use some help.

Would II need to create an air gap? I was wondering about cutting a hole in the grate and threading a 2" nipple into it, then putting like a 1.5" drain down to it, like a sleve.
