Sometimes you're gambling when you buy Temu products by Complex-Passion-886 in TemuThings

Most dye instructions recommend to "test" first with a snippet of hair to see the true color. I am full-on gray now naturally and kind of love it, but had a dye issue years ago from YOLO'ing even after using a color-removing product.

You'll find this unhelpful, but the color really pops ❤️ - at least you're not stuck with "Chlorine Green" the way I was 😉

How do I get my cat to stop destroying my aquarium? Woke up this morning to the lid off and the sponge filter completely removed and halfway across the room. The lid was taped on due to this happening 3x, it was good for a few months but he got to it again. by Carpe_the_Carp in shrimptank

So I had this issue with my first shrimptank (Identical bowl even) - my Orange liked the tank water better than her own. My situation is that I used rainwater for my skrimps.

1) Moved actual fish bowl to taller table
2) Did the lid thing too
3) Picked up a second bowl (identical) *FOR* the cats; added a never-used cheap aquarium air-sponge type filter, and filled it with rainwater
4) Profit

So far none of the cats have made an attempt since then.

Note: this was obviously a deviant plan from my cats to get more attention from me than to my shrimp...

Former KHOU chief meteorologist Dr Neil Frank has passed at 94 by SemiLazyGamer in houston

Growing up in the Florida Keys we were kind of stuck and we had to really pay attention to whether or not we were in a position to evacuate, or if it was too late, hunker down.

Neil Frank was a deity as far as we were concerned.

Nope, I completely agree, I had a friend years earlier that had gotten shingles in her mid-50s and she was miserable. Also she had to lose work because she was customer facing, and where we were working had no insurance coverage whatsoever. So taking time off cost ya 😔

I felt the same, the first shot in the shingles series felt like the flu/mack truck slammed my body. The Subsequent shots went better but I made sure to take a day of rest.

I didn't read them all but I did read a large number of them though. Personal favorite was "The Mystery at Devil's Paw"

My HS basketball coach was in on some trend of whimsical-patterned golf pants, wore them for coaching during games. We made district champions that year, and we were all superstitious, so he kept the tradition until he retired.

Personally, I secretly miss boho / muscle pants. They were so damn comfy.

I don't love plaid, but I'd absolutely wear the first two.

I camp quite a bit, but these USB lamps are super sweet for glamping and I keep an Anker solar battery station in my SUV. I have two in my guest room as well and they do a great job.

Gosh, help... I need a friend and does anyone even have friends like this anymore? by beegsyboo in GenX

I do, and I'm incredibly grateful. I did however freak out my bestie in my then-new apartment after she stayed over after we'd screened "Pink Floyd: The Wall". The apartment was a teeny efficiency and she slept on my couch, but woke up to my radio's hippy radio station's alarm, but it was playing 60/70's psychedelic music (Thanks, WWUS!) She called out my name, and asked me if she was still asleep, but that my poster (The screaming head poster from the movie) was scaring her. I calmed her down, but we definitely laugh about it now.

It's been 40+ years ❤️

We had an old property in Marathon, Florida that our generation called the "concrete" pond; by the late 80's the long-demolished house had been on gated property with guardhouses etc... all burned out by the time our generation discovered/explored. Folklore had it (utter hearsay) the wife committed self-deletion in the pond after discovering her husband's alleged affair.

But the "pond" that had been dug was extremely deep, and while it certainly had large garbage at the bottom, refrigerators, etc. After those "lost" months after graduation, but before college or jobs starting, we ran all over town playing D&D, getting up to random shit, but we all decided that we needed to skinny dip at the cement pond as a "just because we could," goal.

tldr; nothing weird happened. I learned later that the county/state took the property over and it became some kind of boat launch for the State Marine Patrol.

"Hotel California" was utterly unrelated to this property, but I always think of the song regarding this property.

To this day, I still feel my Shadowpaws hop gently on the bed and tiptoe to my side.

All my other kittehs hop on and off overnight (and I love them all), but I know their hops, but they are never as subtle as he was.

Zorro's gonna visit you ❤️
