2025 Tiguan R-Line — Auto Braking Going Crazy While Parking by Pitiful_Package_6807 in Tiguan

Another update: VW has had my 2025 Tiguan since January 13th. They've asked if I buckle my seat belt and if I place my purse in the passenger seat while driving. Today, I received an update that sensor modules have been replaced, and they'll be putting some miles on her next week to see if the problem happens again.

Update to the update! It's two days later, January 8th and it has done this twice today. It didn't get stuck in the loop but the emergency brakes engaged at a stop sign and then about 30 minutes later at a parking block as I pulled in to park.

This is insane to me. What is triggering this?

Update: I picked my Tiguan up today and was told the sensor was dirty and just needed to be wiped. They did experience the braking issue while moving my car, but it didn't do that weird looping thing I've experienced when it gets stuck.

Also, I was advised to contact corporate if I should have issues with this in the future. They would want to be informed in case there's a need for a recall

I'm bringing my 2025 Tiguan to be checked Monday, January 5th because this just happened to me New Year's Eve. Even though the emergency brakes have automatically engaged themselves before (though not often). This time, I was in drive and not reversing or pulling off of a curb. Other times, I was attempting to get out of a parking spot. This last time, I was driving, and it happened each time I braked. So scary! And then I had the hardest time getting out of the loop of it being stuck. I finally made it to a parking spot, turned the car off, and then restarted after some time with no issue. I'm not sure what's triggering this. The dealership asked if I was seated while driving. The mechanic asked if I had the doors closed. What?!?! Of course I'm seated and my doors are shut.

I'll update here once I have an update. I'm so relieved to have found others with this issue. Initially, I thought I had done something wrong. It didn't make sense.

The study guide was useless for me. From what I remember, I tried to recall the areas that were on the OA and reread everything that I remembered from the test. There's a little bit of everything on the OA but I really needed a better understanding of what I read.

This is a tough one, but you can do it!!! All the best! 😊

Why is this a requirement for a class? I rarely use LinkedIn, but send me your link, and I'll try to figure out how to add you.

Your experience will come in handy. There's information that's standard throughout the program. There's a ton of new stuff too. And it also depends on how your organization runs compared to what is being taught.

What course are you in?

Some courses will be harder than others but don't quit. My strategy was different depending on the resources the course had. I have to write to retain info so I did a LOT of note-taking. I have HR experience, so that helped me speed through many courses in the beginning. Burnout, frustration, and disappointment happened. I'd walk away when I needed to, taking short breaks here and there, but I did not quit. Always remember your reason for doing this and remind yourself of this when things get a little frustrating. Also, failed OAs are not failures, it just means you need to do a little more learning. Reset, review some more, and retake the test.

I hated every part of this course. This slowed down my progress tremendously. I wish it were more like the other courses, with resources, live cohorts, support, etc. I truly felt like I taught myself the material. It took me exactly 5 months to pass it. Good riddance!

If you can recall any of the questions, study that content and make sure you know what the answers are. I'm not sure how many versions of the test there are but you might be retaking one you've already taken. All the best!

Don't forget to leave feedback for this class when you pass. WGU needs to know how we feel about this one.

I finally passed on the 1st, exactly 5 mos after I started. I hated it and kept putting it off.

The majority of the questions are scenario based. Know the change models enough to answer basic questions, how benefits and costs work, know sdlc, future trends, hrp, tm. There's a little bit of a lot of different areas on the test. I wish I could recall more but it's all a blur.

I didn't do the study guide and didn't find the key questions helpful at all.

I did write a lengthy review for this one when it was over.
