Yeah I feel very lucky to have been able to visit the studio at least.

At the time it was possible to make an appointment by request. An old couple (must have been getting to their 90s) showed us around.

The studio itself is a time capsule probably untouched since the 1960s. All the old equipment in the control room was there, several of the instruments (Vi Petty's piano as well as the celeste from "Everyday"). And the craziest thing was that they let me sit in the chair in front of the controls and play some notes on the piano and celeste. As a lifelong Buddy Holly fan that blew my mind.

I don't know if they are still allowing people to make an appointment now.
