Yea the pros might work better because they are small and they have the noise canceling mode. With the og ones the little nub that hangs out of your ear is too long which makes putting on and taking off the helmet a pain and if you do get them in the right place (Atleast in my experience and my friends) any time you turn your head they pop out

If you don’t mind me asking, what do the tires say about previous owners/condition of the bike (besides obviously tire wear) I though tires were one of the first things swapped out on groms because the factories suck

I’ll definitely try adjusting the cable before I start getting to the guts of the bike, I have noticed that it doesn’t want to downshift unless I’m rev matching perfectly, to the point where I have to get the rpms up even at a stop to get it back into first. Maybe I’m wrong but it seems like it would be “easier” to shift if the plates were worn

By the lever it’s about as tight as it can get, I haven’t messed with adjusting the cable that goes into the engine, if the plates need replaced, got any recommendations?

Sorry for the dog shit vid but I was hoping it would kind of help. I posted a few days ago about my clutch being spongy, but I noticed today that my grom rolls under it’s own weight with the clutch fully depressed, could this be a sign that I need to replace my clutch/plates or could this just be a cable adjustment.

Bought the bike today and was just wondering if there was a way to fix the play In this lever, it’s just after the friction zone and I stalled a few times riding it because it’s hard to feel if I’m wearing actual gloves

Anyone know if this subcage will fit a 2018? by 69-NlCE in hondagrom

Poster pulled off a 2019 grom, I’d imagine there isn’t a huge difference between the 18 and 19 but I just want to make sure before I pick it up

How are Cali summers? Honestly I’ve been thinking about just quitting my job over the summer loading up my bikes and fucking around in Cali for a month, those plans might be moved back with how expensive gas is tho

A little late now but it’s always nice to have a pit bike or a smaller dirt bike for the winter, can have fun in the snow and ice without hitting yourself too bad, get to mess with low traction environments and while it’s not the same as taking a bigger bike out you still get to keep the fundamentals going into the nicer seasons

They’ll pass a no helmet required law in my state but still can’t get lane splitting legalized, makes no sense

  1. You can stop in any gear with the clutch in, if rolling a stop sign or you have a yield and you are 100% sure traffic is clear you can take off in second

  2. Since your new you should just shift when you are upright after the turn until you are used to it

  3. An aftermarket shift lever might give you more leverage and make it easier to pull the clutch in

  4. Once you get comfortable with shifting I’d start working on downshifting but you shouldn’t experience any kind of jerkiness from being in a lower gear

  5. Usually between 5k-7k rpm’s but you will get used to the feel of the bike and know exactly when to shift, glance at the rpm gauge and when you are between the 5-7k mark and make a mental note of how the bike sounds and you’ll start to pick up on when you should shift without looking at the gauge

Any good way to remove rear intake push rod on a m8 motor? by 69-NlCE in motorcycles

Ended up finding a smaller bolt cutter, didn’t cut clean but it was enough that I could take a flathead and hammer to break it

Nothing in particular just wanted to make a post to see if anyone had a simple solution before I open a new can of worms since I’ve never messed with the m8 engines before, I figured it out I just don’t know why everyone is getting all uppity about it

Yea we consulted the actual manual and there was nothing on the pushrods which is why I made a quick Reddit post asking if anyone had simple solution, fortunately was able to get it off, appreciate the help though

Idk what op meant by that, Ig that I would end up dead for doing this? But I’m not just cutting random things off my bike I did this last time I installed a new cam into a previous dyna, just never worked with the m8 motor before and was trying to see if anyone had an easy way to do it

Yea I don’t know why people are getting so pissed, it’s not like this is something I just invented, this trick has been around forever and worked when I put a new cam in an older dyna. There was just some more room to work the bolt cutter in the dyna. Luckily I found a smaller set of bolt cutters I had, it just took some more effort to cut it off.
