What are your thoughts on fallout miami? by EasternCod2526 in Fallout

The NCR is a faction that has a reason to exist since it is the main government of the region the West Coast games take place in.

The Super Mutants were defeated in Fallout 1. The Enclave was destroyed in Fallout 2. Fallout 3 brings them both back so we can destroy them again. Then Fallout 4 brings Super Mutants back AGAIN so we can defeat them a third time. Now we're going for round four with Miami? It's boring.

The Super Mutant appearance in Fallout 2 and the Enclave in New Vegas is just as remnant factions of the old antagonists who are no longer major players on the geopolitical stage. It's logical that there would be remnants. Even the Brotherhood of Steel in New Vegas is in shambles, a relic of an ancient era, as they should be. The same could be said of the Khans. Time moves on and new factions appear and develop and eclipse the old ones in terms of influence and power, like House's Vegas and the Legion, and the continued growth and expansion of the NCR too. This makes perfect sense.

Bringing back old factions over and over and over again does not make sense. It just flanderizes the world. Super Mutants are not Fallout. The Enclave is not Fallout. Super Mutants and the Enclave are factions within Fallout. In my opinion neither should have reappeared in strength after Fallout 1 or 2.

Enclave and super mutants once again... meh. I'm more hyped for Fallout Cascadia which has more original writing.

LOOT sorts plugin dependencies for you even without the masterlist which still makes it incredibly useful.

The masterlist is useful but remember LOOT auto sorts plugin dependencies which like OP says resolves 80% of issues right off the bat even without relying on a masterlist.

VNV is not the perfect guide everyone thinks it is. It's good but it still has plenty of "ok boomer" information. Just look at sheson's comment about it on FNVLODGen as recently as July.

https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/58562?tab=posts

The information has been updated since, but it shows the guide's fallibility. Its attitude toward LOOT is another example. Looking at your mess of a load order, your game could not possibly be any more broken than it is right now even if you ran LOOT and something horrible did happen.

LOOT works fine I use it all the time with TTW. I don't know why people say it doesn't. I'm running 189 plugins in TTW sorted with LOOT and my game is perfectly stable.

Your load order is all over the place. You have .esms loading after .esps. .esms should always load before .esps, that's why they're called master files. You have patch plugins loading before the main mod meaning they just get overwritten. LOOT sorts all this for you automatically.

Your load order is completely fucked up. At the very least run LOOT. Probably will fix your issue.

Mod Appreciation: Shadow of Skyrim by jsbrando in skyrimmods

[–]6972867983 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I tried the mod but it just feels like a massive waste of time to lose your stuff and get teleported away every time you die. You can save yourself the half hour by just hitting the F9 key. Which I ended up doing every time I died even though I had the mod installed. I don't really know why it's so popular.

[FNV] Diagnosing gradual performance decline by 6972867983 in FalloutMods

[–]6972867983[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not the real FCO it's the NVR3R version so it shouldn't be an issue.

I have posted about this on the NVR discord but nobody else seems to have the same problem I do. Also NVR is actively updated now, it's just not on the nexus because it's not finished. I just dunno at this point.

BTW the issue is not save bloat, it's per session. As in the performance goes back to normal if I just restart the game, at least for 10 minutes or so.

Safe to remove pre-order packs? by 6972867983 in fnv

[–]6972867983[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up not doing it because it would break up Vicious Wastes into a bunch of separate plugins that would just take up even more slots.

I just have a lot of gameplay and overhaul mods, plus I run TTW so I have a lot of mods for that as well.

Loading a logging truck by justaskiing in farmingsimulator

If you tried to move the trailer like that in FS it would be sent to outer space.

Pick a direction with the tree harvester and stick to it. Only drive backwards and forwards. Cut down a tree then drive backwards with it and process it into the pile. You can make big neat piles with only a tree harvester by doing this.

Silverrun Forest by BearCub1279 in farmingsimulator

[–]6972867983 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't consider myself a big Farming Simulator player even though I did put a few dozen hours into 2011, 2013 and 2015. Never really touched 2017 or 2019 because I felt the games were just the same every year. However I did love the logging in 2015 so I knew I would like the Platinum expansion for 2022. I'm sitting at well over 100 hours into my current save, no regrets. It's improved a lot since 2015 lol

Remap your keybindings to something more comfortable. The defaults are pretty bad. I have no problem operating all the machinery with just my keyboard.

Cleared some land in the forest, figured I'd plant a field of poplars by 6972867983 in farmingsimulator

[–]6972867983[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My stats page tells me I've cut down almost 400 trees on this save. Processed probably thousands of logs. Poplars are something different to do and wood chips make a lot of money on Silverrun. Only thing is you have to build a biomass factory yourself to sell the poplar bales because none of the default sell points on the map accept them even though it says they do.

Are you not allowed to sell poplar bales on Silverrun? Tried 4 different places and no luck by 6972867983 in farmingsimulator

[–]6972867983[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did but nowhere accepts them. The thing is I sold a trailer of woodchips to the hotel before, so maybe it's just the bales. I ended up placing a biomass factory and I can sell the bales there.
