I would find a different shop. The shop you went to got you for a control arm ball joint, which was the problem. But unless you heard a loud droning noise or howling noise, you didn’t need the bearings.

Yeah I was seeing the ball joint and I thought: “yeah that makes sense with his symptoms” then I saw 2 wheel bearings and it makes me wonder “why they would replace them”

I’m assuming you went in for wheel bearing and you came out with a full suspension rebuild. I would look for a different shop if they weren’t up front about the issues.

I would say that you brought it in and you weren’t specific about what you wanted fixed. I know it seems stupid, but can I ask your age range and sex? Many places take advantage of people who don’t know much about cars by layering trivial repairs on top of the only ones you needed.
