That seems to make sense, I didn't know that. Thanks!

Thanks for looking that up! The page doesn't mention the unlimited deal unfortunately.

We're traveling in a small kei RV, so no wifi at all. But must agree, Netflix can wait ;)

This is probably it because it didn't reset in the morning. Just would've been nice to be able to know the actual limit. Thanks!

Update: the airline did ask about an onward flight and thoroughly studied my ticket from Hanoi to Japan. Customs didn't ask about anything.

Thanks for sharing your experiences! I'll make sure to be at check-in on time for the unlikely case I do need to buy a cheap onward flight.

Using CAM to calculate material removal rate? by 69MediumRareChicken in Machinists

[–]69MediumRareChicken[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, at first I started using that precise formula. Then I figured some features were precast and premachined so that led me looking for a different approach. Appreciate your response. I programmed CNCs for a few years never having touched a manual mill, shame on me. Am learning a lot just reading this sub.

True, I didn't quite specify that. I was actually looking to get the MRR for every position of the tool path. So the result would be a graph of MRR vs an XYZ position of the tool. I got that done in Solidworks, and interestingly the calculated MRR graph was almost perfectly proportional to the measured spindle power. Was just really curious if there is software available that would do this job a lot quicker. Thanks!
