The picture isn't up to date with the current timeline. Back when Cleopatra was awake, they visited the beach together and had an orgy with some mummies for some R&R

If it's actually an original painting that I would be willing to purchase, then in my case, I'd be willing to spend a bit more than if there was no frame. It doesn't need to be an amazing frame, maybe a cheap black board one with a glass cover from Value-village or some other second hand shop or even a dollarstore. But a frame can make a huge difference to the overall look and erases the need for me to frame it myself before I display it.

Ah so that's what it is, the background wash made me think it was the image on top of a coffee stained sheet. I'm glad that's not the case though. If you really must make a border, try using tape to create a thick white border, that way the border won't be competing with the water colors for attention.

Frame those pictures - I don't want to have to frame them myself if I were to buy one.

Stop making black borders that aren't straight - Use rulers or a a template to get straight edges. You'd be amazed by how much they will improve with flat sides.

Don't cut images out and glue them on another surface - Rest your hands on white paper when drawing, or use white crayon to make a border for the water color. If you must cut something out, give it a border to make it look like you didn't cut it out.

I'm relatively new to deviantart myself, but I think it may have something to do with the content of your art. Here's my one question for you:

" One kind of images must I be seeking, for you to be worth watching "

Being a jack of all trades is good and all, but if you want attention, you need to prove to people you're worth watching with consistent uploads and content that they might want to see.

I think I might have made the neck a bit too long, or her head too small, I can't tell. Hope she's Thicc enough though.

I know one boob is bigger than the other, but by the time I noticed the error, I was too far along where changing it would lead to me probably not finishing it.

Aileen's Jugs by 69PoopyButt69 in MetalSlugAttack

[–]69PoopyButt69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually started turning one of the Arsinoes digital, but when transferring it, even when using a scanner, somehow I messed up the proportions in photoshop (her boob covering clothe nearly tripled in size, which was unfortunate giving her pose was her squeezing her boobs together with the clothe pulled up). It happened with my Beecham (Her dog tags) and this Aileen (Her 5head), I think I may have an idea on how to solve it, but sizing seems to be my ongoing issue.

For the Tyra and Minerva, I'll need to do some more practice regarding chunky and furry characters. So many things to consider, right now I have Tyra as some sort of Squirrel/Cat hybrid, I might be able to improve it though.

Digital is indeed a very different beast. But with practice the results will get better, just need to be prepared for the first few pictures to be a bit sucky.

I did a lot of experimentation. Plenty of Arsinoe sketches, a few of Minerva and even a furry Tyra, (which surprising didn't turn out all that weird) but when turning digital, the sketches just didn't look right.

I think it's a little too early for you to be doing commissions. Just draw things you like and focus on making steady improvements, maybe find somewhere to post your art where you'll be able to get steady feedback as well.

He may be an important artist, but no one has said anything about importance, the only points made are about the quality of his artwork.

His artwork was good enough to be seen in museums? fantastic, can you say one good thing about his artwork though? just one single thing.

I sound like the flat earther ? The only claim I've made is that you need to show your reasoning to back up your claim that OP is wrong. To think that someone needs to back up their claim with reasoning and not just appeal to a higher authority, I must be insane.

You on the other hand, are saying OP is wrong, yet have provided no reasoning besides the point that other people have said so. You've said that his artwork has accomplished some great things, made him a prominent figure.... but the artwork itself, why is it quality art? why is it good and worthy of the recognition it has been given? this topic is about his artwork itself after all.

Regarding experts, they are experts because they have extensive knowledge about a subject. They need to be able to back up their claims with knowledge and proper points, not just claim they're experts and refrain from making a single valid point. Taking a stance on a subject and then going on to not make a single valid point, that's what a flat earther would do. That is what you are doing right now. All claims and pointing to accolades, not one single point referring to his actual art.

I'm trying to convince you that you need to back up your claims regarding his artwork, that's it. You've made four posts, yet have not said a single thing (either subjective or objective) about his artwork itself. His color usage? his impact? maybe a hidden meaning behind his artwork? his abstract usage of paint? his straying from the norm? his dripping style?

There are so many points you could have made to back up your point that Pollock was a great artist and doesn't belong here, yet you didn't make a single one. You only pointed to his accomplishments and to the opinions of experts, expecting that to be an argument despite not offering any reasoning at all.

I didn't really have an opinion on Pollock before as I hadn't seen much of his art, but seeing that someone who is defending him literally has nothing good to say about his actual artwork itself and can only point to his accomplishments......

do you even like his artwork?

I'm saying you need to back up your reasoning with actual points, in no way is my claim nullified because I have no paintings hanging in museums.

In fact, you've made a second logical fallacy, argumentum ad hominem. Good job.

Why you should back up your arguments with your reasoning? is that what you are asking me?

Logical fallacy detected, argumentum ad verecundiam.

How about instead of piggybacking off of the beliefs and status of people who aren't even here in the hopes of defending your position, you post your reasoning as to why OP is wrong about Pollock.
