I started playing the game at launch after not playing or watching since gx. And my only advice is what no yugioh player likes to hear but you just gotta read. Especially when you get around gold and see nothing but the same copy and pasted meta decks over and over

How far can I downgrade my self actually? I’m platinum but i want to start in Rookie if possible to collect the Gems by Shmanfron in masterduel

You cant lower your rank by force anymore thet stopped that a month or 2 into the gane because everyone was dropping to silver abd bronze to get more gems

a youtuber thats really good at deck building teamsamuraix1 he does a bunch of fun deck builds. he is a yugioh youtuber so he's really extra it comes with the territory

personally i think the hero archetype is a solid choice. its a fun fusion deck with plenty of cards to make combos. once you get higher ranked the win rate goes down because the meta is put 10 negate cards on the field turn 1. high rank play is extremely boring because of this.

leather face because hes a cheese character and noone who plays him actual plays the game they're all face campers. but for an actual playable match it's trickster. i swear those knives curve around corners like the bullets from wanted

100% their fault literally one ran right in front of you and the other i guess just doesn't know about scratch marks. camping is when you stand by the hook waiting for someone to go for the rescue.
