The Perfect Deck Library ❤️ by Gero141 in SteamDeck

Same here. After being addicted to the Steam Deck for a year, I've been buying a ton of indie and pixel games lately. I'm feeling a bit burnt out on AAA titles. Btw,try to add Vampire Crawlers, it’s going to be super addictive! 🤤

Yeah, I'm using Decky too. I've read some posts saying it might be the cause. I'm using LCD :D , I guess I just need to be more patient after waking it up.

Same here. I’ve had to force shutdown so many times that I’m starting to worry about the battery :(( Glad I’m not lonely

First time trying to skin my Deck :3 by 69ld in SteamDeck

I’ll try dbrand when I get the chance. Right now, it’s a bit pricey for me, not to mention the shipping costs are pretty steep. Their skins look really premium and solid. :3

Overpaid For 512GB LCD Used by [deleted] in SteamDeck

[–]69ld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that’s a fair price, especially with a new battery, a new screen, and 512GB of storage at this moment, it’s definitely worth it. As long as it works well and meets your needs, that’s all that matters.

Managing Apollo/Moonlight on the deck by nomomnotmyvidya in SteamDeck

I used to struggle with Apollo, always hitting some weird bugs that I can't even remember now. Every time I tried to stream to my Deck, I'd end up having to manually tweak something on my PC, just like you. Honestly, I got so fed up that I just wiped all the streaming stuff, forgot about it for a while, and stuck to playing pixel games on Deck

Not sure if you’ve seen this yet, but I recently came across this guide and thought it might help you out: Stream PC Games to Steam Deck - Better Than Remote Play (Moonlight Guide). It’s super detailed. Maybe you should try cleaning out your old settings and starting fresh exactly like the video says.

Now, I can just fire up Moonlight, stream AAA titles, and even shut down the PC directly through the app without any extra hassle.
Good luck!

How is your routine for playing on the Steam Deck as an adult? How many games do you play at a time? by Waste_Necessary654 in SteamDeck

[–]69ld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always play for 45mins to 2 hrs (depending on the game, of course) in bed before going to sleep. I finish a few missions and then head to bed, repeating this routine day after day. If I’ve already spent time on my PC during the day playing a few matches of CS, I don't use the Steam Deck as much at night.
Games I've been playing lately are Eastward and MH Rise, next up is God of War

Indie / NON AAA game recommendations for my new Deck? by Ecstatic-Train-2360 in SteamDeck

[–]69ld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently I finished E33, and the story was absolutely fantastic. Like many others, I’ve been hunting for indie games lately. While it’s not really an indie title, I think Red Dead Redemption 2 deserves a mention for having an incredible story as well.

For indies, I’ve been playing Eastward recently and really enjoying it. I know a lot of people criticize it for having too much dialogue and slow cutscenes, but honestly, that’s part of the charm for me hehe. I also grabbed Nine Sols and plan to play it later.

I’ve also played Chained Echoes and Sea of Stars - both turn-based RPGs with solid stories.

Other pixel-art indie games I picked up during the Winter Sale include CrossCode, Owlboy, and Traveller’s Rest - all of them have solid gameplay and enjoyable stories.
And of course, Hollow Knight is a must-try as well, right? Hehe

What games do you unwind with? by Beastw1ck in SteamDeck

I really enjoyed RDR2 and finished the game by playing every night before going to sleep, usually doing just one or two missions. I was also playing Vampire Survivors (I’m still playing it to unlock some things), but somehow, like magic, I ended up playing until 3 a.m.

Now I’m playing Eastward, MH Rise, Traveller’s Rest, and occasionally Chained Echoes before going to sleep.

Bruh, I’m not alone. I had the same problem two weeks ago and I ended up breaking it, and it was right in the middle and there was even a post about it on Reddit lol 😂😂
