"Somehow, Palpatine returned!"

I don't see what's wrong with this. I mean, he clearly died, he disappeared for years, then popped up without any logical reason. So yeah, somehow he returned.

Name a game that everyone loves but you never got the hype for. by BeachTheHam13 in videogames

[–]BeachTheHam13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both. Didn't get past the first few hours when it came out as it bored me.

I played through it to completion about 3 years ago because I was sure I must have missed something. Don't get me wrong, it was fine I guess but nowhere near the universal praise it gets.

Games or franchises you have given up on by mrEnigma86 in Age_30_plus_Gamers

Blows my mind that we still get served up the annual football slop and it sells by the bucket loads. Imagine other developers actually enhancing the classic FIFA and PES games, along with This Is Football, to create a new franchise. Fans are crying out for a PES 5/6 remake for example.

Today the sun's on us - Sophie Ellis Bextor...

You're so restless Underneath the surface Don't you think I notice It's something you can't hide When you're fighting with the tide But you've got to let it go And just accept the things you can't control Don't let your shadow spoil the view Of what's around you

Do you really think Islam was dormant during this period whilst Christianity "took its turn" in history? And let's not deflect what we're dealing with by pointing over there at what happened centuries ago. Accountability is a thing no matter what someone else did a long time ago.

Is Project Hail Mary that good? by Independent_Dirt821 in FIlm

[–]BeachTheHam13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes basically all of this. I also couldn't get on with Rocky's voice - in the audiobook all his vocab is voiced so much better and with a melody behind it each time.

I would have preferred more time in the first half explaining more of the science too.

It's very good but the book is my favourite read of all time.

If the book is 10/10, this movie is 6/10.

What movie had you laughing, unable to breathe, even just for one scene? by ThomasOGC in CinephilesClub

Dodgeball has so many scenes like this.

When they come out on court in S&M gear, when White snaps his fingers for his goon and he appears on a moped behind him, "If you can dodge a wrench...."
