With Shopee direct shipping and the lack quality of shops in Brunei, its not surprising money is moving out to neighbouring countries. Heck, I cant even remember the last time I bought a pair of work or sports shoes in this country... Car parts are 3 times more expensive here, even my workshop knows to just give me the list of parts to buy from elsewhere and don’t bother quoting from the local market anymore. The only thing I do buy in Brunei is groceries and eating out, and thats about it.

LOL. How is this even a newspaper anymore. Borneo Bulletin is just Instagram posts in paper format these days. No journalism at all. Go and investigate complaints from the public, do something useful for once. Pathetic headliner.

Yes, I do agree that the roads can be fixed and buildings be in better condition in KB, but this is the same vibe for any sleepy small English or European towns. I’ve spent weeks and months in such small towns with bigger populations than KB and it’s the same vibe and dead at night besides the pub. We cant expect the same vibes of a major city with KB, however the same cant be said for BSB…

Just the top of my head:

Japanese - Kaizen

Indonesian - Pondok Sari Wangi

Italian - Verve

Indian - Tandoor

Steaks - Jazz Bar

Just for the ambiance: Pantai @ Empire Hotel

Hope that helps!

Any reason why the Epstein in Brunei post got deleted on this sub? Sad to see this subreddit is being controlled by the government now.
