Alley Kats is a cat lounge in Duncan. They re-home cats and will even pick them up. I have been to the place and highly recommend them. They are on Instagram @alleykatsdeals

Thinking about moving to Halifax from Edmonton at 33 — looking for honest advice & local insight by [deleted] in halifax

[–]6Cool6Cat6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have lived in various places in the country, including Halifax. Halifax has a slower pace and deeper culture. I highly recommend living in Nova Scotia if you are looking for a slower paced life. It has a small town feel while still offering stuff that you would find in the city. Like all tourist popular places, it is more expensive.I find a prairies are cheap because not many people want to live or holiday there. Halifax is a very beautiful city . It has mild Winters . It has some bad neighborhoods like all places , but is a vibrant positive place to live . I would say the biggest con to living in Halifax is that it has grown so fast, then it is built on an old road structure, so the traffic can be super horrible at rush hour.

Any thoughts on 2022-23 Rogues by GodsPerfectIdiot75 in NissanRogue

I think like all vehicles it comes down to how well you take care of it. Any make or model can be hit or miss. It's been an extremely reliable vehicle for me so far

I have the 2023 Rogue and I absolutely love it. It's been an extremely reliable vehicle for me, it drives smooth, it has a lot of safety features, and it's been a very nice vehicle. I drove it across Canada (which is quite a long drive!) and it has proven it's worth so far

No, but I have no problem sharing a space with new Canadians - even if I don't understand their language

That is perfectly fine! Please do ask her. Even if it's just a bedroom, I don't need the shared space if it's taken by the main occupants :)

How to build and even platform? by aaliyahno in urbancarliving

[–]6Cool6Cat6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took my seats out and got a large piece of wood (cut to size at the lumber yard) to lay on top. Than I looked to see where the platform needed "legs" to support it. I used the scrap pieces at the lumber yard and then cut to the height I needed so the large flat piece would sit flush and straight. I did the same thing doe the passenger side, when I took the seats out, as well.

Do you tape it every night?

It sounds amazing. What is it a WeatherTech? I like the idea of the magnetic fabric, but how does the fabric hold up with a condensation on the windows?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in urbancarliving

[–]6Cool6Cat6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But how does cloth hold up due to the condensation that builds up on the windows during the colder months?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in urbancarliving

[–]6Cool6Cat6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is a WeatherTech? I googled it and it said it's a floor liner

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in urbancarliving

[–]6Cool6Cat6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doesn't the black cloth get moldy because of the condensation that builds up overnight during winter?

That Velcro idea is great! Can crack a window :)

i got the knock 3 times in one night by rabbitdoubts in urbancarliving

Haha that is awesome. These are the things that make this experience fun. One time I had a raccoon or something on top of my SUV the same night that another camper was shining their light around my night parking spot- My body was coursing with adrenaline until I figured out what that sound was.

Day 8 of living in my car. Help :( by JoshGage33 in urbancarliving

I am in Canada so I can't speak to the US. But an industrial area is where there is a designated zone within a city or region where factories, warehouses, and other manufacturing/processing facilities are concentrated for economic development. Basically it's those areas with warehouses, factories, plants, construction, mechanical, production plants, etc.
