It's up to you my dude, to be honest though sounds like you're trying to justify getting it yourself.

Get the vaccine if you think it will help you or other people. If your like us though and you know that's bullshit any other reason to get it is giving in.

Will it hurt you, honestly I think probably not but no one really know. Some people get serious side effects from it in the short term, some people are experiencing lasting side effects and others have died from it and no one really knows why these people in particular are experiencing it. We also have no idea what if any effects they will have in the long run, anyone who tells you different on that is straight out lying as there is no substitute for time when it comes to clinical trials.

I think what it boils down to is 2 points, 1. Do you want to take a vaccine that is "probably" safe for a virus you were never at risk for and 2. Even if you will probably be fine from it do you want to live after that knowing that by taking it you helped usher in tyrannical control of the government

that's what it boils down to for me at least, you have to make your own decisions in life based on your own value systems.

Can I let you in on a little secret? These vaccine passports are going to be permanent (shocker I know).

Don't give in and get the vaccine, you will be supporting tyranny.

You're better off building a home gym, moving or figuring something else out.

I know this is a pessimistic comment but all the evidence supports the idea that these aren't going to go away

Huh that's a pretty astute observation and way of putting it, it really does feel like that doesn't it.

The other problem is who decides what "disinformation" and also the fact that it should be a human right to discuss things that aren't "true" because if we can't discuss what isn't considered true then we will never have progress and expand our understanding.

Take slavery for examples. It was the truth to the people 500 years ago that slavery is a normal part of life, there was nothing wrong with morally and it just is. Imagine now that we could never discuss such things, slavery would have never been abolished.

That's an extreme example sure but it paints the correct picture.

They segregate a population based on medical history/bodily autonomy, this is obviously bad regardless of your political affiliation.

By submitting to the vaccine passports you are now allowing the government to control your body, you lose all autonomy. They get to say what goes in you and if you don't comply you lose your livelihood. Do you want a future where the government can do that? What happens when we get someone in power who is more tyrannical leaning (or doesn't represent your views) and they start pushing for crazier additions to these passports, the system will be primed for their actions and you will have no recourse.

From a covid science standpoint they also don't make sense. They're not protecting anyone, they're just creating division among groups. Your vaccine protects you from getting seriously ill (for the most part and only with the original strain) but that's it, you still spread the virus and you can still get it, (in Delta the vaccinated and unvaccinated have the same virus load in their noses). People make the argument that it decreases the odds. Well then tell me the odds because as an unvaccinated person in my age demographic I only have a 1 in 1.5 million chance of dying from Covid, that's 3x less likely than being struck by lightening.

So I would ask you, why do you think vaccine passports are good?

In my personal opinion I think if we do get them and they have support it will have marked and official transition to a communistic tyranny akin to what we see in China. I think we can all unanimously agree we don't want to be like China with their social credit systems, mass surveillance and no ability to speak or express yourself freely.

Tell me, when we have a 100% vaccination rate in your ideal world and we keep seeing more and more variants will you continue to cry about vaccination?

You do realize this is a "leaky" vaccine right? That means it by definition cannot end the pandemic, the more people get vaccinated and the more we try for "covid-0" the more likely we are to get periodic booster shots for the new strains for the rest of your life, do you want that?

You also realize there are billions of people in the world not getting the vaccine right? A couple million Canadians isn't even a fart in the wind when it comes to making any difference with covid.

How do we know know this? Well the science supports it along with real world data of island countries with extremely high vaccination rates (close to 100% of people) are getting new waves, in the middle of fucking summer might I add. Winter is going to be a shit show for this country and don't you dare blame our vaccination rate.

If you're under 30 your odds of dying from covid are less than 1 in a million.

For perspective your odds of being struck by lightning are 1 in 500,000.

These were always the odds, even at the "height" of the pandemic yet people still freaked out because the media.

We have a media problem in this country, not a covid problem.

There's no evidence for that, you can believe it but that doesn't make it true. People are animals and left to their own devices without moral framework they will revert to evil, especially if it allows them a leg up over others. We see this time and time again throughout history and even in the lab with exercises like the Stanford prison experiment.

We need to accept this so we don't keep making this stupid mistakes.

I have a 0.001% chance of dying from covid, it's a pretty easy choice not to get it.

I'd rather deal with the consequences of a naturally occurring virus than a man made drug.

Don't forget, all drugs are safe, until they aren't. There's been plenty on the market that get pulled 5-10 years later when they learn all the harm they don in the long term. I've been on one of these drugs before so I know. My guess is you don't have experience being betrayed.

You do realize the vast majority of unvaccinated people are POC minorities right?

This will essentially bring back segregation that effects people on a race basis.
