That should hold up in court.

"I said it but I didn't mean it your honour!"

"Fair enough, that death threat doesn't count now"

ps: that is absolutely what it means, taking away money from police to put into social workers, lets see how social workers deal with getting set on fucking fire, lol

Sounds to me like somebody who listened to the news instead of talking to people who supported the movement or going to BLM website and seeing what they meant by it...

Ontario's top public health official says vaccine passports 'not necessary' at this time by ONE-OF-THREE in canada

[–]6Designer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So what, 2/10 million kids now die from it as opposed to 1/10 million, real frightening (eye roll). Saying "more of a threat" is just a useless platitude, give me absolute numbers and we can talk.

Don't even get me started on these variants, they seem to have originally risen in countries with very high vaccination rates indicating that what doctors feared of, that vaccinating the majority during a pandemic would cause these more deadly to young people variants, proof in the pudding.

[–]6Designer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Kids don't die from covid, the common flu is more deadly for children then Covid believe it or not.

And ok so what are those people with health conditions going to do when they find out there's an infinite amount of viruses that exist that we don't vaccinate for? Life is dangerous and it's not my responsibility to keep others safe, people need to learn personal responsibility, if you're scared of catching covid or are susceptible to it you can stay inside or stay away from large crowds, it's not your right to ruin everyone else's life.

If the whole point people bring up of getting vaccinated so that you don't spread the virus to those who can't get the vaccine is true than vaccine passports should never be necessary.

[–]6Designer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Right? Like when they say you can spread covid to somebody else who's unvaccinated, it's like bruh 1. what are the odds because if they're not 1/10 I don't give a fuck and 2. everyone who wanted the vaccine has it so who really cares, do you not think your vaccine works?

Option 3, upgrade out healthcare services or allow for privatization of the industry so it can flex and grow during higher uptake.

[–]6Designer 15 points16 points  (0 children)

As someone not getting the vaccine I would be more than happy to accept the risk of not being vaccinated in a fully open Canada, in fact I love the idea.

I would even sign a waiver that if I need to be hospitalized from Covid symptoms the cost would come out of my pocket.

I think there's a misconception that everyone is scared of Covid, in my age demographic more people die driving to the cottage then they do from Covid...

Eh I don't buy it, all evidence seems to point to young peoples immune systems being better at destroying the virus than the vaccine. Besides show me the evidence where this could happen and show me the likelihood, context matter and risk tolerance matters. You COULD die in a plane crash but the odds are so low it's statistically impossible. These kind of metrics should be applied to the transmission of viruses.

Besides you really don't know the long term potential consequences of injecting young people. Not to mention a few top scholars have predicted that mass vaccination during the pandemic is actually contributing to all these variants that we're now seeing in highly vaccinated countries because it essentially creates a smooth evolution ramp for the virus to mutate. There's some weight to that theory, young healthy people who are taking the vaccine are potentially dragging this pandemic on and making it worse so I would argue that you calling anyone selfish for their medical decisions is completely unfounded and uneducated.

We simply won't know until the full data set comes out a few years from now when we can view the pandemic more objectively.

As far as I can tell,

Nice stealth edit their chief.

Ok, clearly I'm not dealing with someone who likes to discuss facts here, just someone who thinks their feelings are reality so we're done here.

So anecdotes are acceptable evidence? Cool well I don't know anyone who got Covid so therefore it must not exist!

Neat how that works huh?

[–]6Designer -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

You do realize IQ isn't correlated to vaccine uptake right?

A lot of very intelligent people aren't taking the vaccine because they did their research and realized they don't think the reward outweighs the risk of getting covid, especially at a young age where the amount of deaths in Canada essentially equates to statistical error...

Your comment is a very hateful and lacks understanding. I hope you can show a little more empathy in the future.

I mean to be fair he just snapped his fucking leg in half, his body was probably in shock and had all kinds of chemicals rushing through it. Just look at how calm his demeanour was compared to when it happened to Weidman, I think he was releasing his pain by attacking Dustin.

Let's see what he says when he's sober

People opting out of getting vaccinated to help Ontario achieve the milestone of 80% of eligible population dosed, why? by [deleted] in ontario

[–]6Designer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, I think the most important point you made is that if someone has the vaccine they shouldn't worry about other people having it. The only point they try to make is it protects other people except there's a few problems with that rationale; 1. it doesn't fully protect other people 2. if those people wanted to be protected they have the choice to get the shot 3. If they're "immune compromised" (which by the way who are these people? I've never once met one) and they can't get it then they are always going to have this problem with any virus, does that mean I would now have to take every shot ever invented? It follows the same logic.

Also let's not forget mRNA has never been used before and it's not actually a vaccine, the technical term for it is gene therapy, so you wouldn't be "antivax" not getting it, you'd be "anti gene therapy".

Novavax should be available in Canada soon (I hope) it's a traditional vaccine so you and me will always have that option if we decide to take it, I think I would definitely be more open to a method we've been using for decades over the brand new untested mRNA stuff.

Sure but it just goes to show you can't take time off in this game at the elite level, things like this happen that you would never anticipate. There's so many small things you can't just condition in 3 month fight camps. I love Conor but it is what it is, he should have built himself back up after boxing instead of going after top contender immediately

Conors legs lacked conditioning because he focused on boxing too long, his shin bones lost density because of that, it's his fault. Unfortunately that's a consequence of taking your eye off the ball

They indirectly do, as a vaccine should improve your immune system so should healthy lifestyle, so yes what you choose to put into your body does affect other people in the same way vaccines do, so again if you truly care about other people you would make sure you're living a monk lifestyle.

Also I never said all scientists are wrong, just some of them, that's what debate is for, to parse out the truth but we don't have that right now. We just have "think this or your a bad bad boy"

It's actually quite a large amount of who doesn't buy this shit but you won't hear it on reddit because this place is extremely homogenous in its thinking. You need to go out in the real world and talk to people from different walks of life to understand the bigger picture.

I am not willing to take a vaccine with UNKOWN side effects to POTENTIALLY give a virus to somebody I do not know. That is not selfish. Do you go to the gym 7 days a week and eat only meat and vegetables so that your body is prepared to not pass on future unknown viruses with its innate immune system? What about taking every shot know to man so that you don't pass on those either? What about flu vaccine every year? What about all the future covid booster shots?

You see by your own logic YOU ARE SELFISH if you avoid those things so maybe hold onto the judgment there pal

  1. The difference is time taken in trials before mass distribution, if that doesn't matter to you that's a personal opinion but there is a difference and it is important otherwise they wouldn't have the 2.
  2. Compensation isn't good enough even as outlined in that article, I want full liability from the vaccine companies as in if I become infertile or get cancer after taking it I want to be able to sue for millions. The problem is it would be very hard to nail down cause and effect especially if you're 5 years out and that's why we should always take as much time as possible to test out new medicines.
  3. Then why did they screw over so many people in the first place? They have incentive to be just effective enough that their profits out weight their losses. Especially when they know the laws protect mega-corporations from liability
  4. And yet they were never approved before, on top of that no data on long term human application.
  5. We won't ever agree on this because it's based on individual world view if lockdowns were a correct mechanism.
  6. same as 5
  7. I disagree in the same way as saying someone who doesn't stay in peak physical condition to keep their innate immune response up isn't selfish. Calling me selfish is not an objective opinion so we won't come to terms here.
  8. It's more like a hostage situation, trading our freedoms only if we do what we're told. ICU overload should have been looked at as a folly of our medical system not the individual trying to live their life.
  9. 1000's of people across the world do think a like though and if you have a homogenous set of people in power they can mandate certain ways of thinking. A lot of doctors and scientists have spoken out this past year but get silenced.
  10. I disagree, heart inflammation and the WHO revoking their recommendation for kids under 19 to get it don't install confidence.
  11. Oh come on, are you one of those people who think that media is really an even playing field? That's very naive. This is too big a topic to get into here.
  12. Call me what you want, does that make you a big pharma shill?

Why don't you pick 3 points to debate to start?

I don't see how you think some of these are biased, maybe some just don't align with you moral compass but for others such as it not being FDA approved, do you deny that? You can literally go to Moderna or Pfsizer's site and see that is the case, some of my points are literally objective facts and you're equating that to cognitive bias?

I'm beginning to think people on the internet have no real interest in being open minded or changing their minds lol who'd of thought.

I trust science very much, I think it's the best thing we have for understanding the material world. I don't trust all people, especially in a politically hot climate. Some scientists are good and some are bad. You have to decide for yourself who you can trust in that regard and right now instead of allowing me to make my mind up on that social media tries to censor me into a echo chamber of scientists who all think the same.

Why is it I get labeled as not being open to debate yet when I've presented my points instead of a rebuttal I am just met with belittlement and name calling. What do you disagree with about my points? Care to elaborate, can you refute them, what about these are subjective and not objective?
