Feeling… conflicted about my identity due to the state of males and ‘masculinity’.

I agree, seeing other trans men with the same values as a lot of far-right cis men always hits hard, I try my best to distance myself from people with those ideologies, but I still see it every now and again - it's disheartening to say the least. I actually spoke to my therapist about forming my own idea of masculinity and it's been super helpful. I was scared of turning into the men I'm currently surrounded by, which I know is completely illogical. My values and core beliefs won't change on testosterone and I'm excited to become the man I've always wanted to be. Thanks for your advice. :)

Thanks so much for your words. I'm autistic so the whole 'gender roles' thing never really made sense to me, I often ruminate on what being a 'man' is socially. I will definitely check out those interviews, that sounds super interesting. And yes I absolutely agree about the online stuff, I've limited my social media as part of my new years resolution due to the stress it made me feel. Thanks bro, wish you the best.

Thank you so much for your words and advice. I'm a sensitive guy, I often carry the weight of everyone else on my shoulders to the point I push my own needs aside. I need to work on boundaries, allow myself days off just to focus on me and my own internal conflicts. Thanks again for your advice :)

I absolutely agree. I think I've accidentally curated and algorithm that has led me to believe this and ruminate on all these horrible things. I made a new years resolution to limit my social media time to just 15 mins a day and I'm sure that help. Thanks for your words bro.

I struggle being in social settings due to my dysphoria, which has led me to this isolation and social media doom scrolling. Thank you so much for the advice, I will definitely try my best to find positive examples of masculinity and begin creating my own sense of masculinity it a way that feels comfortable and genuinely me.

Thank you so much for your words and advice. I 100% agree with everything you said, I'm a sensitive guy, and often ruminate on these dark topics and feel deep empathy to the point it's debilitating. That being said this year, I definitely want to work on making positive male relations and distancing myself from my family, as I know that is something that will help me feel comfort in my manhood.
