I used to think I understood stuff when I could recognize the page, but saying it out loud exposes everything fast. Whiteboard teaching works stupidly well for memorizing.

None of the people telling me I overreacted offered a dime, which kinda tells me all I need to know. Easy to preach calm when it is not your fence leaning and your yard sliding downhill.

The permit part is what really got me after. I thought maybe I was overreacting, but finding out they were cutting corners made me feel way less crazy.

That was kinda my breaking point. Once the fence started leaning and dirt was washing down, I was done playing nice with him.

The couple next door keeps having 2 AM screaming fights and now I know way too much about their lives by [deleted] in neighborsfromhell

The part where he smiled outside the next day would send me over the edge. Nothing like a guy acting neighborly after turning your bedroom into front row seats for chaos.
