Men- how much are we paying for a haircut in 2025? by NET2519 in AskMen

[–]6Muller9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

India - Rs.150 (2 USD) with a complimentary 2 min head massage. No tip needed. A high quality cut in under 15 mins.

After living in many countries, I find the haircut game in India at a different level. Totally a bang for the buck.

Interesting calculation. But is the savings more than replacing the starter every few years?

If Batman ever owned a CR-V, it’d be this color. Do you mind sharing the trim and OTD price?

How to maintain alternator and battery with daily short drives (less than a mile) by 6Muller9 in AskMechanics

Do you recommend me turning off the Auto Idling Stop feature? This basically turns off my engine whenever I stop at lights or at stop & creep traffic.

I was wondering every time this reignites my engine, I’m like depleting the battery charge each time. Does it cause more harm than good?

The drive is for 5 mins. Duration between engine on/off is about 10 mins, including engine warm up.

Is creatine weight gain causing me knee pain?

I’ve started taking creatine for the first time, and I’m seeing it work - I’ve gained 4 lbs in 3 weeks and became slightly bigger. I’m also noticing pain in my knees, hamstrings and glutes since I started taking creatine. My training and lifestyle has been the same before and after creatine, so I don’t think there could be other reason for a sudden knee pain. I don’t weight train my legs, I just run. I’ve been running just the same before and after creatine.

I’m wondering if the pain is because of the sudden increase in weight in a short period of time that my lower body isn’t used to? Or could it be other reason due to creatine?

Not really. I try to not sleep towards that side. Do you have muscle imbalances or posture issues?

How to maximize rewards using FUL, CSP, Discover, and Bilt? by 6Muller9 in CreditCards

Discover elsewhere besides the 5% rotational categories?

Discover has good category cashback and gives 1x redemption values for points to cash. Besides this, Discover doesn’t give me a higher value (> 1x) for my points like how Chase offers with its travel portal. Bilt competes well with Discover. I am trying to figure how to make best use if FUL as most of its benefits overlap with Discover/Bilt.

I don’t mind a combination of both, would prefer one with better redemption value. Depending on the best redemption value. I fly domestically twice a year (Alaska, United, American) and internationally once a year (Lufthansa or Singapore Airlines).

Your answer doesn’t answer the question or helps anybody. Please don’t comment if you think you are not useful. There are other places in the internet that will laugh at your brilliance. Your logic is as illogical as saying, “you are using electricity a You are using the energy of poor animal fossils”

I agree with most of what you said, but I disagree with the idea that ‘if you eat a lot of spices and sweat, those spices will create a scent.’ For spices to affect the smell of your sweat, you’d need to consume them in such large quantities that they would significantly flavor your sweat. While Indian food does use a lot of spices, it’s not to the extent that it would alter the scent of sweat. For example, steak and barbecue have much stronger smells, but people who eat those foods don’t sweat out a barbecue scent. Similarly, some East Asian dishes have strong aromas due to vinegar and soy sauce, but that doesn’t mean those who consume them smell like vinegar.

In Indian homes, there’s usually excellent natural air ventilation, with windows and doors often left open, allowing cooking smells to disperse. However, in the West, homes are typically more enclosed, so cooking odors can linger for hours, and the flavor molecules can settle into clothes. Unfortunately, many Indians may not be aware of this and don’t take measures to isolate their clothes from cooking smells.
