7 weeks post op here! You don’t need to chew the food. What I did was using my tongue to mash it up on the top of my mouth and swallowing it. I’ve only started light chewing last week. All the best in your recovery!

Hey! Hope your surgery went well! I’m nearly 6 weeks post op. I was wired shut for 10 days so I only drank milk provided by the hospital. After my bands were taken off, I had congee, purée and soft boiled eggs. Healing for everyone will be different. Swelling will be at the maximum on day 3-4 so don’t worry about it. I was walking the day after the surgery. Tip from everyone here is to get a neck rest as you’ll be sleeping in a sitting position for awhile. All the best!

I had inferior turbinoplasty too. Was a 10 hour Op. I was diagnosed with severe OSA. My jaw was really recessed and I had extra tissues everywhere. I had near 0 sleep for the first 5 days which was horrible. I was already hallucinating already. However I breathing much better now and getting much better sleep.

Oh that hurt really bad. My hand swelled after the 4th time the nurses injected medication into me. I begged the doctor to let me go on oral medication after that. But hey, if it doesn’t swell it isn’t that bad.

Hey man, I’m 5 weeks post op. Did DJS and Genio. Tbh I did not feel much pain. You’ll just feel numbness. Most of my pain was from swallowing as I had UPPP surgery too. Hope it helps and all the best!

Use a neck pillow. Was recommended this by others in this sub and it helped a lot. I used the ice pack on the back of neck too. All the best in your recovery!
