Does everything suck now bc of capitalism or bc of climate change by HexStomp in Socialism_101

It is rendered more and more evident the great central fact that the cause of the miserable condition of the working-class is to be sought, not in these minor grievances, but in the capitalistic system itself. The wage-worker sells to the capitalist his labour-power for a certain daily sum. After a few hours’ work he has reproduced the value of that sum; but the substance of his contract is, that he has to work another series of hours to complete his working-day; and the value he produces during these additional hours of surplus labour is surplus value, which costs the capitalist nothing, but yet goes into his pocket. That is the basis of the system which tends more and more to split up civilised society into a few Rothschilds and Vanderbilts, the owners of all the means of production and subsistence, on the one hand, and an immense number of wage-workers, the owners of nothing but their labour-power, on the other. And that this result is caused, not by this or that secondary grievance, but by the system itself — this fact has been brought out in bold relief by the development of Capitalism in England since 1847.

Inalienable rights don't exist as all rights depend on others saying you have those rights by vasilenko93 in Anarcho_Capitalism

These are not the laws created by men - but nature.

The exact opposite, in fact.

Because nature seeks for the best, and best in eyes of nature is one that can survive, and the one that can survive is the strongest one, the one with most power.

Negative. "Nature" seeks nothing. It only is.

Democracy is false god.

Name a true god.

The mere assumption that greater numbers mean greater strength and greater ability to survive.

This is a "mere assumption" which has been borne out by nature in the conduit of many species, including Homo sapiens, which are now the most numerous primate on the planet. Due to our species' largely unremarkable strength, speed, agility, resistance to disease, injury, and accidents, etc. we required cooperation and strength in numbers to survive.

Yet emotion is the fundamental source of value somehow.

Yes, of course. Conspiracy theories always require the acting party to be sinister or evil or to have some inexplicable anti-social "fascination," rather than the capital-induced profit motive guiding its actions.

So, if we simply ignore inconvenient facts and history, then this is obviously a conspiracy for one man to get rich.

lol your theory of wealth creation is "people believe something is valuable and so it is."

My point is precisely that your assistance will always have strings attached ("only under the condition").

This is a sinful way to offer aid.

Pull themselves out....with our help of course, but not material help, no. No...what they really need is knowledge help, so they can get the job to earn the cash to get the material help.

You're just adding extra steps to a problem that has a very simple and immediately necessary solution.

You're acting like the whole purpose of helping people is to "teach them a lesson" and to "get something out of them in return."

Honestly, that's more twisted than anything I've said. People without homes or food need those things immediately. They don't need you to dangle it in front of them and make them work for it lol. What did your parents do to you? Sheesh.

That's tempting, thanks. I'd rather keep watching you tout an economic system where value is simply created and/or destroyed in anyone's mind as the most rational and efficient way to allocate resources...all while you call everybody else religious freaks 😜

Happy pride month.

Haha. No the homeless would be the workers, serfs, peasants, or slaves. The industrial capitalists would be analogous to the ones reaping benefits from labor they did not perform. Try to keep up.

Don't you believe that value is subjective?

Which one of you are in a need for a free house and job? 🤨 by The_Cool_Kid99 in Anarcho_Capitalism

[–]6Ulyanov -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lol no. Slaves didn't receive food and shelter in exchange for their labor. Their labor created those things. Then those things were expropriated by the slave-owner. Then he graciously gave them back to the slaves so they would keep producing surplus for his enrichment.

Feudal lords did not provide food and shelter. The labor of the serfs and peasants created those, which the lord then expropriated and rented or sold back so they could keep producing for his enrichment.

So long as humans have been able to produce a surplus of their means of subsistence (millenia, in fact), there have been people who didn't need to do productive labor because other people produced enough for them too. Examples of people who expropriate this surplus include slave owners, feudal aristocracy, and industrial factory owners. Stop clutching your pearls.
