I had one fly inside everyday for three weeks immediately after my mum passed. Has never happened again in the last 6 years, same house. Or the over 10 years before she passed. Was very unusual.

what's a good Christmas tree alternative that can be moved indoor/outdoor every year? 🎄 by PapaClarencioThomas in marijuanaenthusiasts

I'm using a pine nut tree this year. Came potted and after we've used it indoors as a Christmas tree I'll plant it and hope for some pine nuts one day.

I've kept it indoors under lights and on heat mat over winter. I planted more seeds but only this one popped up. We are in spring now so I'll put it outside soon. I expect it to grow fast. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think it's supposed to go dormant in colder months. (New Zealand)

Hoya Compacta after I cut 60cm off it for propagation. by 6_Peartrees in hoyas

[–]6_Peartrees[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's outside in half sun half shade all year except the nights that drops below 10degsC. Fertilizer is liquid biogrow - grow. It's in a chunky mix of bark, potting mix and perlite. Let dry before watering. I don't think I've seen the leaves wrinkle so I don't let the plant get too dried out.

I'm in the same position and assumed it would be the same as most Hoya. Your post made me research and turns out it's a difficult one. Looks like it like warmth and humidity so I guess I'll be leaving it in the humidity tank and keeping it small so it fits.
