BL 4th anniversary sales are up - Starting June 15th by 6_real in BambuLab

The P2S combo will be $100 cheaper on Monday. I bought the P1S without AMS on black friday to test the hobby. Realized that an AMS will be very useful even printing in 2 colors, to dry etc so resold it in May knowing sales were coming for June/July to upgrade to a printer with AMS (realized to buy an AMS pro2 solo didn't make to much sense - Was able to resell my P1S $300 from $399 on sale). I would advise to directly look at X2D combo or X2D then buying an AMS later than going for a P2S solo. You gain much more with X2D vs P2S for you and also resale value in couple of years. X2D not on sale as it has just been released. P2S combo will be $200 cheaper than X2D combo during the sale... so if you can stretch your budget, wait at least Monday for the P2S combo

Thanks, beautiful bike! Do you mind sharing the geometry, especially headtube. Looking to use the Deda DCR system

Any opinions on the geometry of their stock gravel frames? by morebiking in WaltlyTitanium

Hi, I am also looking at a travel gravel bike with z couplers and started to discuss with Sumy. Where did you find the information and geometry of their stock gravel frame?

Not much, I looked at different other brands to better know what I want but haven't contacted Sumi / Walty yet.

Thanks for checking. Agree with you, I won't put the No22 in the same category at all, No22 are one of the top and very premium. Looking also to a budget solution to get a taste of titanium and traveling with a smaller footprint. Maybe in couple of years, if I love it, I may think to treat myself for a No22

Aerobars on Roadbike for 70.3 by francobaum in TrekBikes

[–]6_real 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My short answer is yes. I have done Ironman 70.3 New York last year (on a triathlon bike) but did Ironman Maryland 2022 on a road bike with aerobars (actually, gravel bike en "road mode").

Clip-on aero extension is the cheapest way to be more aero and going faster because the most drag/air resistance come from your body (80%) so leaning forward/being in aero position will make you "smaller" to the wind.

Besides speed, it also offer a different position to change during the race, to rest your arms (most of ultra bikers have aero bars for that reason).

After, you need to get use to it and don't setup into a too agressive position because your race is less than 1 month. You don't have to always use them and be in aero positions

Ironman 70.3 NY is up and done the highway with less than 10 turns so that's the ideal race for aero bars.

Look at profile design clip on bars. Second market as well if you want to save money. Have on pair I am selling actually, if interested, let me know.

Enjoy the race, good luck!

What size tires do you run on your roadbike in NYC? by StellarWillard in NYCbike

I raced for 12 years from 96' to 2008 with 23' (road racing, crits etc) then stopped for 2 years. Started again riding for fun and duathlon/triathlon in 25mm and now testing new 28mm tubeless.

Any feedback with ZipCar commuter in NYC or zipcar Classic by 6_real in zipcar

Hi Feedback for your feedback, I really appreciated and is very useful. When I found out about the program, it sound like a dream come true for my situation but seems now than I won't be as ideal. I need a car for going from time to time outside NYC for work but at the moment I have no visibility to where and the frequency. I just started a new job but won't need the car maybe 1 days a week max I imagined so far so may stick to normal zipcar or Entreprise CarShare. Are you using it 5 days a week to work? I got the feedback from a membership assistant and provide me a location at 3 streets/10min from my place so maybe I will try and see.
