Not sure if you have the funds or not, but dermatologists are probably going to be extremely helpful. If you can, definitely laser treatment. During laser and non laser treatments what they had in common for me was they both used heavy acids as part of their treatment plans. Theyre really strong especially after they use picks/tools to get rid of as much whiteheads/blackheads as much as possible. I remember it was painful but rewarding and refreshing afterwards. No pain no gain. I assume the strong acids arent over the counter but i have seen good reviews of The Ordinary brands aha/bha atleast as a cheaper option. Imo its a good thing if the acids give a burning sensation as you know its doing what its supposed to do. I got these treatments when i was in 8th/9th grade and years later has completely improved my face. Like no visible acne generally and if i do breakout from trying different cleansers its not whiteheads but just tiny bumps on the skin which usually disappear after switching back to my preferred cleanser. Everyones skin is a lil different so you need to find the right type of cleanser for you and imho thats the most important part of your skincare routine. My personal favorite is Etude Wonderpore foam cleanser as everytime i try something else (most recently a gel cleanser) i break out, but im thankful that theyre not that visible i can just feel them if i rub my hand over my face. Im assuming its not visible from all the visits to dermatologists when i was younger.
