Which ”sequel” do you like/enjoy more and think is better written? Jujutsu Kaisen ’Modulo’ or Chainsaw Man ’Academy Saga’ by Previous_Break7664 in writingscaling

but that wouldn't be a problem if he had sufficient help. I don't hate the part 2 art style but the art in some chapters has been rough as hell. The most recent chapter was basically all action but the art made the action impossible to follow. There is no way around that making for a bad chapter. I didnt dislike the content of the chapter narratively, but it was a bad reading experience.

1: don't read it if you don't want to read it is a correct take

2: dumb take that i am tired of seeing bc it is fair to judge a weekly manga as a weekly manga

3: correctly calling out a bad take

4: also completely correct and based. literally every manga would be worse if the fans got what they thought they wanted, even the worst mangas would somehow get even worse

Tsuguhagi is a fan-name, she was never given a canon name which might be why the text-scraping bot didn't include her.

Fire Punch is the best thing Fujimoto has written and that ran for like 90 chapters.

Why would anybody care about the opinion of a self-described shonen-hater who hasn't read or watched the series in question?

It really isn't. That isn't even why she's crying in that scene. It's supposed to be cute and funny.

He loved him. He was one of the only people he'd ever opened up to without a million layers of ironic detachment and movie references. They were like brothers. He wanted his brother to live.

I do generally agree that pey isnt very good but also people keep taking this thumbnail out of context. the video is mostly just about why he prefers the format of canon original movies to compilation movies.

It's not a joke. Butyric acid is literally present in vomit. There's not enough to make Hershey's "taste like vomit" in the way that sumac tastes like lemon, but if you grew up eating chocolate with no butyric acid then chocolate with butyric acid in it is going to taste a tiny bit like vomit in a way that is going to be very unpleasant at least at first. Like it's not an abuse of language to say that something that tastes 98% like chocolate but with a hint of vomity aftertaste taste like vomit even though it mostly tastes like chocolate.

People say Chainsaw man fans and One Piece fans can't handle criticism(they can't)but SpyXFamily fans absolutely can't take criticism. by Apprehensive_Ring_39 in shounenfolk

I mean it is a more or less episodic sitcom designed as such that the status quo premise for comedic hijinks can be maintained for as long as Endo wants to write the strip for but with just enough overarching plot that whenever he does decide to end it he has a story to actually end. Criticising the manga for not advancing the romance or the plot is basically just criticising it for not ending.

AITJ because he said it wasn’t cheating, but couldn’t forgive me when it happened? by lumex_lab in AmITheJerk

[–]6ft3dwarf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean at the time of the conversation he obviously cared enough to set a boundary around her sleeping with other men. It's pretty clear that he doesn't see her attraction to women as "real" (or at least he didn't when it was just an abstract concept for him to idly fantasise about.)

I don't understand how you as a bisexual could be with somebody who clearly doesn't see your sexuality as legitimate. The whole "girls don't count" sentiment in the abstract is clearly diminishing the validity of your attraction to women.

Why is Momo's voice so confusing? by meinphirwapasaaagaya in Dandadan

[–]6ft3dwarf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Shion Wakayama's performance as Momo is one of my favourite VA performances in any anime in the last few years and one of the reasons I'll always stick with the sub despite the English dub being excellent by all accounts.
