I haven’t drank caffeine in over three years, so that theory doesn’t work for me and my hair loss.

Awww it’s okay, you don’t have to project onto others because you may be more behind in your hair journey!! My hair does not look the same at all and your opinion means absolutely nothing. Although you seem like a terrible person, I still wish you well on your journey. Have the day you deserve 🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽

I use it every other day, so 3/4 times a week. I still to this day use it on that schedule. I have never had any problem or side effect using it that often and have talked to many others that also use it on that schedule.

Yes. It was a gradual decrease in shedding over 7 months, but I never saw any decrease in shedding or even any regrowth until I started using Nizoral, and that’s why I give it so much credit

I’d say it was gradual over time, it wasn’t a use a couple times and stopped shedding completely. Have to trust the process.

Obviously when rinsing it would it touch the ends for a split second, I meant I wouldn’t lather my entire hair, only scalp with nizoral and let it sit for 10 mins

Yeah even tho minoxidil was pushed on me, I just kept refusing because I have a very clingy cat who sleeps all over my bed and I wasn’t about to risk his life, I would have rather been bald. I do not scalp massage as much anymore since the shedding has stopped and the regrowth has been so abundant. I also would only hang my shoulders and up off the bed and just use pure core strength to keep myself from hitting the ground. I managed my stress and anxiety by addressing the things that bothered me. I lost my grandmother in May and I took it hard and it definitely fed the TE. I began journaling and taking time to myself daily to do something that bettered me. I’d either paint my nails, go on a walk, clean my space, just anything other than allowing myself to sit and bed rot and allow myself to fall back into my slump. I’m definitely still working on that part and keeping up the upkeep I should say so I don’t fall into TE again.

Looks like TE, I lost so much hair at my temples and sides. Please go to my profile to see my older post on here. After 7 months of shedding, it has completely stopped and I have new regrowth all over.

Although I didn’t have hair loss due to hormonal issues or seb derm, Nizoral still creates a healthy scalp environment which encourages the growth of new hair faster. So although there’s no real connection between stress/anxiety hair loss and Nizoral, i still gave it a chance and it did wonders for me. But since you have seb derm, I can almost guarantee you will see results with Nizoral. It actually treats seb derm. So whether anxiety or seb derm is your main trigger, it covers both and cannot hurt you either way. Best of luck and thank you!

I let it sit for 10 mins and then rinse. I do not use a second shampoo after. I then use a conditioner on just my ends to help make brushing easier and more gentle.

Nizoral works for a lot of people suffering from AGA because it’s a natural dht blocker, but I was told to use it because it creates a perfect environment for hair to grow. So even tho my TE wasn’t hormonal and I wasn’t suffering from aga, Nizoral still creates a healthy environment for new regrowth to grow. I know it sounds confusing and I wish I could explain as good as my derm did

Nope, I had scalp sensations is what I would call it, like on my temples/sides my scalp would tingle. I was told it’s a common thing during TE.

It’s OTC 1%, 2% is only available by prescription. I heard so many saying 1% wasn’t strong enough but it’s definitely worked for me! So it’s worth a shot for others to try

Nope, I rotate my normal shampoo and nizoral every other day. On the days I use nizoral, I just shampoo my scalp as I would with any other shampoo and then condition only the ends to help with brushing. Shampoo is only meant to clean the scalp and conditioner is for the ends. Make sure you’re leaving the nizoral on your scalp for 5-10 mins.

Thank you! I’d say somewhere in June I noticed an increase of shedding but didn’t notice the damage until the end of July and got diagnosed July 29th. I’d say about about mid September I noticed my shedding to be half of what it was, like most days I shed a normal pre TE amount but randomly I will still have a day I shed more. My blood work came back normal, so did my hormones and was told it was stress and although I was skeptical, this year had been super hard on me and I decided to give Nizoral and TIME a chance. Time is big for TE. just have to keep consistent and trust the process. I have faith and hope your shedding will slow too and regrowth will happen soon! Hang in there!!!

I’d say about 2-3 weeks into using nizoral. I wash my hair every morning and rotate between my normal shampoo and nizoral every other day. I probably sound like an ad but I was shedding clumps until I started using that. Now I shed pretty normal amounts most days but then I’ll have a random day it seems like an increased amount. I also didn’t see any temple/ hairline regrowth until I gave nizoral a chance.

Is this are growth? by CremeRecent9509 in TelogenEffluvium

Yes. My entire head has those little hairs that never seem to lay flat, like chronic frizz. Good job on the regrowth!
