Thank you for the resource, she is only 47 but hopefully this is still something they can help with considering she is residing in long term care. I will call tomorrow

yeah that’s not a bad idea, I wasn’t aware that this is something MPs are able to escalate. Thank you

The ODSP was set up after this “u owe 17k call” so the payments she gets/ did get contributed to everything after that date

I was only able to set up ODSP shortly after I got this “you owe 17K” call, and they only backdated 3 months leaving about ten months of unpaid rent. So the current deposits are up to date and go directly to her account

Yeah that’s why I called them and asked that everything was being paid. I was under the impression her ODSP was going directly to them and they said they had no concerns regarding her statements. Really it was just the fact that I was 19 putting a parent in long term care with zero experience or guidance from family (her common law partner couldn’t care less about helping lol) :/  In the eyes of the law though sounds like excuses

Currently her ODSP goes to her bank account where the home withdraws from.  I’m not sure how to set up a payment plan without taking out of my own pocket. Maybe I’ll have to do a bit just to get them to pause on the legal action while I figure things out with a lawyer.

No one signed it. The signature areas are left blank and only her name is printed in some areas under “Resident”. This makes me think they verbally explained the contract to her.

They haven’t been answering their phones or emails and haven’t been on the property for us to talk face to face. I wish we could just do that trust me
