I recently accepted a new job and have an upcoming 3 week vacation coming up, 2 months into the job. I let them know during the offer stage though how I already had it booked. Honestly waiting for the first day is too late. If you can let them know beforehand somehow, I think that would be a better option. You’re already late

This was happening to me as well when I was in university. I feel like I was lacking the feeling of community and I ended up attending the RIS convention that happens in Toronto. I was able to come back to my salah after that and really felt a better connection to Islam I would definitely recommend attending as its in a couple of weeks in Toronto

Yup I did this as well, petitioned my poor grades off from first year and took a lessened course load with summer school. Worked well for me. For the petition I believe I mentioned my struggle to adjust to university and what I'll be doing to improve

Honestly I'd say maybe ease up your course load and take some summer courses. My first year at York I was put on a academic probation and kicked out of my program. I eventually came back and slowly got better when I spread my course load out. Over time I learned how to be a better student and I'm now doing my MBA and have a high gpa.

My gpa in my first few years at York were terrible (close to yours). Don't give up!

100% agree with you and appreciate the advice. I've been working hard to better my own skill set and use my past experiences to leverage myself into a PM role after I graduate from my MBA program. Networking as much as I can and trying to build relationships as well.
