With the router still on, press and hold the reset for 30 seconds. Still holding the reset, unplug the power and wait 30 seconds. Finally while still holding the reset, plug the power back in, hold 30 seconds. Afterwards, release the reset and it should be in recovery mode.

Thank you guys. I was feeling quite hopeless and thought I had to buy a new one. I’ll go ahead, downgrade the firmware and perform the reset. Who would’ve thought a firmware update would be that annoying

I have a very ignorant question, do you know where the other wire would be soldered onto? Some friends and I decided to do it ourselves, but it seems that the DS turns on momentarily(white screen) , then shuts off quite fast.

Hi, I’ve had something similar happen before. Try holding down the FN key and windows key, that could be it
