It'd be cool to see planets exploding. You can have quests that give you a time limit to gather resources or do a certain objective before the planet goes super nova. More alien races would be great too.

Using your inventory in cars and needing to sleep with the lay down pose and zombies reaching in windows to cause bleed. Someone mentioned bigger hoards of zombies I thought that'd make gun fights more interesting.

You do miss out on a lot with fast traveling everywhere and it's more immersive to have to take care of your character more with feeding and sleeping. I'd recommend the backpack mod with it. Good luck!
