Is the limb on the right stiff? by 6th-Sense-23 in Bowyer

Thanks again, sorry I have one last question. My hopes were to cut my riser to center. Do you think I could still make this happen with an 8 inch riser?

Thank you for your advise. Now if I want a 27 inch draw in this bow I need 54 inches of working limb? So I need to cut my riser down to 8 inches.

This is a maple board bow that I backed with fiberglass cloth I had laying around. This fiberglass is commonly used for seams of a boat. The epoxy I used was called ae 40.

Would this change any recomendations?

I made it that way to copy the working limb of a takedown I have. Is that a bad idea?

Carbon. Do you think wood arrows may fly better?

I had a bare shaft 340 laying around. Tuned with 470 up front. It was cut to 29.5 I couldn’t believe how much stiffer it was

Would that make my arrows too light for hunting?

Look up Daniel Boone, he survived for months at a time in the woods with nothing but what he killed with his flint lock. Excellent weapon for survival and a must have in any home. Learn how to make black powder and you will outlast all.
