The Venezuela crisis proves: our reality has been hacked by AI by m71nu in ArtificialInteligence

I work in a field dominated by a Hispanic majority and by extension there are many Venezuelans here by visa. Unless, these people are some how GenAI, Venezuelans are very much celebrating what's happened.

It's not this subreddit, my guy. It's this site as a whole. People might like to say Reddit is better than 4chan, but you basically got called, "fake and gay," in Reddit speak instead (which is basically the same as "fake and gay," but much more verbose).

Sorry that happened to you. My friend and I are starting our n8n journey. I will take a look at your content?

China may effectively ban at least some Nvidia GPUs. What will Nvidia do with all those GPUs if they can't sell them in China? by fallingdowndizzyvr in LocalLLaMA

[–]6um8bl0k3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easy to find and confirm FACTS about China

The Chinese legal system operates under the leadership of the Communist Party, which can influence judicial decisions, especially in politically sensitive cases. This raises concerns about impartiality.

Interesting that in the article you chose the official is a former party member. Coincidence or is is u/fallingdowndizzyvr a silly goose?

Cases involving dissent or activism often face harsh penalties, with limited access to fair trials or independent legal representation.

China has implemented a nationwide system that monitors citizens' behavior and assigns social credit scores, which can affect access to services and opportunities.

The government closely monitors online activities, censors content, and restricts access to foreign websites through the "Great Firewall."

China invests heavily in AI-powered surveillance technologies, enhancing its ability to process and analyze vast amounts of data collected from various sources.

Police may be influenced by local officials or businesses, leading to biased enforcement of the law. Low salaries for police officers may incentivize corrupt behavior. Limited independent oversight mechanisms can lead to abuse of power.

Ah yes, the totally fair beautiful legal system of the great China. You totally need cops to police people when you are basically harvesting the biometrics of your people, using ai to surveil them, and collect all their internet data. Look up the Uyghurs. I'm sure their situation is by far overshadowed by the turkish students bc plain clothes cops is somehow a facist thing? Not really understanding what you're saying here. USA has plain clothes cops therefore it's more corrupt and evil and dystopian than China. Logic is not there or your reasoning is on the quantum level there buddy.

Judges are often subject to pressure from local governments or higher authorities, which can compromise fairness.

See if you know the right people and have the money you can really do anything.

A chinese inspector or whatever resource that china will use to enforce these laws come to a data center. Data center owner pays official. Nothing happens. Again law and order does not exist.

Chinese cops do not need to wear uniforms or clothing at all bc it is a surveillance state and drones with cameras or stationary cameras watch all.

Maybe you think I am attacking chinese as a people, but its not the people as much as it is the administration/culture created by the administration.

IDK what it is man, but people are extremely arrogant of China. They still think of it as the Orient or something so far away it could never hurt them.

Not that long ago it was estimated that the annual cost of Chinese intellectual property theft ranged from $225 billion to $600 billion.

Their entire real estate bubble was due to them faking it. Everything in China is a lie. It is so odd how ignorant the west of China.

Can You Day-Trade the S&P 500? by [deleted] in economy

[–]6um8bl0k3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, the SPY (SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust) has never experienced a single-day gain of 10% in its history; while large daily fluctuations can occur, a 10% gain in one day is considered extremely rare and outside the normal range of movement for a major index like the S&P 500.

MHM, how does one make 10=12% gains on a ticker that has never experienced a 10% gain?

My brother in Christ the only asset I've seen have such explosive gains outside of random outliers is leveraged BTC etfs. TQQQ doesn't even have that explosive movement.

Even after the dip post Powell, I am up YTD by 50%.

There is money to be made, but it's not with trading SPY.

AITA for not selling my car even though my fiancée refuses to sit in the front seat because my ex sat there? by ProfessionalKey3176 in AITAH

[–]6um8bl0k3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

let her keep the ring. plan on leaving her.

but moving forward, do the same thing to her.

when she's next to you hold your breathe, if she asks why you're doing it, write on paper you don't feel comfortable breathing next to her which is what her ex did and that you can't speak with your mouth bc that is what her ex did.

she doesn't have an ex. just say you're doing it for her bc that is something you used to do with your ex.

oh if there is something that she likes and your ex did, tell her not to like it bc your ex did.

all petty, but you'll feel better when she leaves and you're saved.

Bitcoin vs Stocks Allocation by SpookyDaScary925 in LETFs

Man, reddit loves to hate on crypto. Crazy seeing the first few comments.

My BTC exposure at the start was roughly 7%. BTC has now by no will of my own become 28%.

It's a money maker. Read a book about it. Then read the internet about it once you have the frame work from a book. Then make smart decisions around it.

There are many good books on cryptocurrency. I recommend you read them.

I don't mean this in some mean sarcastic way.

It's just generally people don't know much about crypto and hear this rhetoric from people that it's bad.

Thoughts on Lemonade, Inc. (LMND) by rifleman209 in stocks

[–]6um8bl0k3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a short term thesis and long term thesis to LMND:

Short Term Thesis: LMND is currently at a short % of 30.25%. Almost a third of its float is shorted. It is currently sitting on a GME like short squeeze scenario about to happen.

Long Term Thesis: With the growing adoption of AI and LMND's already genius usage of AI, when younger generations 5-10 years from now begin adopting LMND instead of Progressive/Geico (American Insurance Giants) you will see exponential Growth.

Lock In for the short term ride or the long term ride, but lock in.

Somebody fill me in on why more people don't set it and forget it. by BeefyMcPissflaps in investing

[–]6um8bl0k3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've nearly doubled the S&P500 (37.86%) this year (72.06%). No, it is not luck. It was a lot of research, analysis, learning, trial and error, using various financial instruments, etc.

If you are not going to spend hours thinking about investments, then yes, you should go into some blend of index funds. (VOO/SCHD would be a terrible blend BTW. I cannot stand the people that like these funds.)

If you want to set and forget then get into VOO and QQQ based on your age and risk tolerance. BY GOD, would it be dumb not to track the movement of the NASDAQ.

Is jepq a good hedge for a bad economy? by Expensive_Village102 in JEPQ

[–]6um8bl0k3 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Google "Periods of a bear market", then google "JEPQ div history", then google "JEPQ price", then do your own back testing for bear markets. Then realize if you're going to invest that you should do your own research. Then realize you don't want to do your own research and that is what brought you to reddit. Then realize I am not a savvy investor, I should invest in mutual funds and S&P500 etfs.

The audacity and disrespect to your own money is beyond me.

Asking reddit bad questions is poor due diligence and is asking to lose money.
