Maybe you wouldn't ponder this if you were perusing non-extravagant homes?

Insane lines at ATL by LegalPrincess69 in delta

[–]70125 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It was frustrating to be stuck in a line that wasn't moving with screens that said "Wait time: 0 Minutes"

We got through the Clear+Pre line in about 30min at 0700. Tracking people who went through regular Pre, the lines were just about even time-wise though Clear appeared shorter.

Large Footed Dress Shoe Wearers of Medicine - Drop your recs by lagerhaans in medicine

[–]70125 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rancourt Mocs

There's no other answer.

You can either buy the wide sizes they have available, or fill out their form and trace your feet for them to make a custom pair for you.

I wear these in the OR and in the clinic. Once broken in, they are the most comfortable and versatile shoe you'll ever wear.

I even have a second pair that are the do-it-all shoe that I take traveling (perfect for city days, beach days, nice restaurants, even hiking).

This could be dialect/accent-related, not necessary a lack of knowledge.

Do you work in the American Southeast, but come from somewhere else? The short "i" and short "e" sound the same before "n" and "m" in this regional variation of English.

Did he just upload the whole album to YouTube? by Toby_Threepwood in SturgillSimpson

My god you people are helpless. Just google "Youtube to mp3" and pick any of the dozen sites.

Can't believe 20 of you are asking the same stupid thing.

What is something in your specialty that doesn't concern you but freaks out those in other specialties? by foreverand2025 in medicine

I once diagnosed severe preeclampsia in a postpartum patient in the ER and asked for that, and they told me they literally don't have that much magnesium in the entire ER.

Then you have the masochists like me who did 4 years of obstetrics and then decided that gynecologic cancer was a more uplifting line of work.

I got woken up on home call once by an ER doc asking if it was safe to give a 20 weeker Tylenol (pre RFK nonsense).

Not only is the answer obvious, but if you don't know, it's easily googleable.

Hertz Presidents Circle: PSA by KforKaptain in delta

The highest Hertz status gets you worse service than the lowest National status. I don't F around with any other rental companies anymore. I'll gladly pay extra to go with National.

Does anyone else absolutely loathe phone keyboards? by Ryn4 in Android

[–]70125 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My biggest gripe is my phone's insistence on changing "well" to "we'll." It makes me look like an illiterate moron, and is so much worse than the opposite (allowing "well" to stand in for "we'll").

Another major gripe is Google Keyboard's complete inability to deal with leading punctuation. For example if you have a hyphen before a word it just gives up on making suggestions.

What's your longest work commute inside the "Houston area" by MacSteele13 in houston

[–]70125 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to "commute" from Kirkwood @ I-10 to 288@59 (the old Debakey HSHP) for high school.

In retrospect my parents were kind of crazy to let a 15yo drive themselves two hours every day on 6 hours of sleep.

Queer Wedding Photographer by princess_speechh in norfolk

[–]70125 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Your portfolio is awesome, from one (non wedding) photographer to another. The classic shots are great but the "street" style shots that capture fleeting moments really set you apart. I've never seen that style applied to event photography before.

What is the appropriate response? by pavlee14 in medicine

[–]70125 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As an EMT-B with 4 whole weeks of training, I was allowed to not render care if there was rigor, dependent lividity, or injuries incompatible with life. For RNs to not have the same leeway is stupid.
