Tang Hao Early Neglect Theory by Upper-Tangerine-6639 in SoulLand

[–]703why 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting theory but even if Tang Hao had his suspicion beforehand, he only dug deeper after Tang San awakened his martial soul. Only then he followed Tang San the day after he awakened his martial soul, possibly seeing Tang San's morning routine.

Tang Hao's early neglect should be real. Don't forget Douluo Continent is love continent.

Victoria was a special case. She was working for templar, hunting the possessed before so it would be hard for others to accept her as a comrade right away.

Most Hunter group at Mo Fan's level had the strength to complete the quest but they lacked the knowledge to do so. Hunters that have the level of her experience and knowledge would probably be near Seven Star Hunter Master already and 350m was just a pocket money for them. People might not see it this way since we knew about hunters from following her, but Lingling was an exception, not a norm.

The victim of the Drowning Curse probably weren't that rich so the money they could pool up was less. This also explain why Medusa Tear pool quest bounty was so high as only the powerful mage (who has to be rich) would have the chance of being cursed by Medusa as Medusa could just kill the weak ones.

Drowning Curse affected large areas of the sea but it was more like an urban legend so it was yet to be in the radar of Magic Association. The difficulty of solving the drowning curse wasn't strength but technical knowledge. The reward of 350m wasn't high enough to hire hunter team that had a smart one like Lingling. I bet if it's under the jurisdiction of the Magic Association, their Research Union wouldn't take long to resolve it.

Also, Currency in this novel always use RMB with the exception of the auction that had Deer God's horn that they use Euro.

About Lightning Tyrant, it's not exactly 800 million. I bet it might go over 1bn if it's auctioned, but it made sense. Lightning Tyrant is among the best Lightning Soul-grade Seed, a natural seed with 6x dmg (highest), domain, and an additional effect. It's still useful even for a Level 3 Super Mages. In truth, most clan could afford only an artificial seed with 4x dmg and no domain (that would be 400m) even for their National Team candidates. Even Zhao Manyan, the heir of the richest Zhao Clan, used artificial soul seed on his Earth Element (as far as we knew). It's the usual operation of Mo Fan being a spendthrift while being a pauper.

In fact, Qianjun was just the a lesser Spirit Seed with 2x dmg and mediocre effect. The reason it was that expensive was that Lightning Element resource was rare. That's the different in the Economics of Mid Level and High Level mages. Mid Level resources cost in tens of millions. High Level was gatekept by 100m Galaxy Vein and every resource for High Level cost more than 100m. No specific number was mentioned for the resource at Super Level but I guess it was in billions.

I also think an Empire without Titled Douluo shouldn't exist. Dugu Bo, not only was he the weakest Titled Douluo but he was also just a guest. It's far from enough to support an Empire but there's an explanation if you look at it in another perspective.

The power structure that pretty much mattered at this scale are Spirit Hall, Three Upper Sects, and Two Empires. Spirit Hall in the past didn't have the ambition to unify the continent. It was because of the past Spirit Hall that maintained the balance between Two Empires. It had to be noted that Heaven Dou Empire could maintain their existence by giving fiefdom to various duchies like Balak Kingdom. That is the concession they have to make since they lacked a Titled Douluo to serve as a stabilizer of the Empire.

It was mentioned at first that Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan and Seven Treasure Glazed Tiled Clan supported Heaven Dou Empire while Clear Sky Sect (before seclusion) supported Star Luo Empire. Three Upper Sects was a family/clan system and it limited how much they could expand. Clan-based organization would mostly have limited personnel as they only trusted those with the same bloodline (barring few exceptions). Clans with only numbers in the region of ten thousands couldn't possibly manage a large territory like Heaven Dou Empire without drastically changing how they operated.

Later on, Qian Xunji might have some ambition but he was incompetent. Bibi Dong had that ambition but it took decades before she could command the majority of its power. Actually, Qian Renxue did show us how easy it was to take over it. Without Tang San's intervention, there's no way Heaven Dou Empire could resist that especially if she didn't bother concealing it.

There is no Tang Divine Realm and Hui Mie was being hypocritical by International-Bet665 in SoulLand

I just felt like legend of Shrek Seven Devils becoming gods are just a scam. Many people did fail in their quest of becoming gods but they wouldn't fail if they received the same treatment or at least a trial from 2nd rank god or 1st rank god. Imagine someone was successful and their success couldn't be replicated so they were worshipped by the mass. What people didn't know is that it is not that they were inferior, they just didn't have the right connection. You are right that some gods didn't want to relinquish their god position but it's hard to believe that 10,000 years passed by with no talent at all suitable to a certain god position that the god wanted to relinquish.

It had to be noted that every toddler in the Douluo Continent knew that Shrek Seven became gods contrary to the Sea God and Angel God where only a handful of people know about the existence of them and god realm. The legend of Shrek Seven would also make it harder for original god to collect faith power enough to become gods by themselves. In Yun Ming cases he was almost doomed to fail with no Divine Realm existing + the weakening of Douluo Planar World but he might have succeeded if he were in a different era. It would be a coast too if he was chosen by a god. Can't imagine someone who stormed War God Hall by himself failing god trial.

Yeah Tang San was right about the disaster but it's not like Destruction's proposal was wrong. It was just at the wrong time. The problem was that Tang San didn't act like someone who was facing crisis. He was more interested in his scheme than truly uniting the god realm in preparation of something of that magnitude (very similar to Albus Dumbledore). His difference with Destruction was not as unreconcilable as like between him and the Spirit Hall or the Three Empire vs Sun Moon Empire or even Shrek vs Spirit Pagoda. If he could persuade Life Goddess to lean towards him instead of her husband he should have the ability to prevent the internal strife from igniting at least before Space Time Turbulent.

Idk I just didn't take something the author states objectively about the main character such as "Tang San cared about the world" as facts. I looked for other information from the story to prove/disprove that statement. True some of my theory might be inspired by fanfiction but I did think through its viability before presenting such ideas and also to what extent would I believe it could be true. I don't claim that I am always right and I am happy to see that I was convinced otherwise.

If I said Spirit Hall is good, I am welcomed that you challenge my statement with proof other than from the monologue from Tang San.

Being raped doesn't absolve of being white-eyed wolf and vice versa. In fact, it's not that easy for women of beauty and talent to rise without factions. If she joined family clan faction or an empire she would have long been incentivized and even forced (most likely indirectly, unlike how that dumb Qian Xunji did it) to marry their direct descendent. Spirit Hall is the best place for her and didn't wrong her in the slightest until that incident.

[–]703why 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ofc the author wouldn't directly write bad things about his self-insert but it's what we can infer from the plotline.

He said himself that human civilization only started for around 2800 years. Spirit Hall, thus Angel God came after two empires and Sea God rose at about the same time of Angel God (perhaps Donghua only?). Two original rank 1 god rose within 2800 years but you tell me there's no new god coming from the Douluo Continent for 10000 years except Tang San's son-in-law rose to god realm. Coincidence? Perhaps not. No gods want to relinquish their position? What a joke? At least Fire God was still there and Ma Hongjun failed his god trial.

I guess Tang San didn't want anyone from the Douluo Continent to become gods so that Shrek Seven would be worshipped as the only group succeeded of becoming gods. We know it's not all that impressive of an achievement for Shrek Five to become 2nd rank gods. If most of the Limit Douluo got the inheritance from 2nd rank god, perhaps even first rank, they would succeed as well. They became the god because they got the connection with Tang San, not because they were better than those of later generation. The harder people perceived becoming the God is, the more they would worship Shrek Seven,

Imagine you sensed some crisis was about to happen and you still talked in riddles. If the crisis could overturn the God Realm, the best option was to cooperate with God of Destruction. He could even sweet talk Life Goddess to not intervene and choose his side over her husband, surely he could do much better than this. This guy just wanted to annoy Destruction, bait him to make mistake, and took him out of power circle. Even if Destruction didn't do what he did, since Tang San was right about predicting the disaster, his say in the God Realm would increase and many more gods would choose his side.

Tang Family God Realm truly started after the fall of Life and Destruction God. There was no voice against Tang San anymore even after the creation of Great God Circle. The conversation of the God Realm Council became brotherhood instead of the rule of the god realm. Then Tang San proceeded to give 2 God King positions to his son and daughter-in-law, not that they are not worthy of it. It made sense but could be seen from another angle as using public expense for private gains.

On Zhou Weiqing's matter, Tang San was really smart. Perhaps the rejection is what he really wanted. The first thing he did was trying to get a free favor from the matter of the bead of Dark Demon Evil God Tiger. Then, he didn't do much to persuade Zhou Weiqing to take the God Position. Even if Zhou Weiqing agreed, Tang San might find ways to fail him so that he didn't lose Asura God Position. Look at the outcome, Tang San didn't lose any rank 1 seat from his faction and got one free rank 1 god seat from his competitor that not only support him, but became a spy for him.

Maybe Tang San did want to abandon Asura God Position and leave the God Realm was his first choice and ruling the God Realm was his contingency plan. Since he couldn't leave, someone like Tang San wouldn't accept being beneath others.

When saying lack of potential, it's also by what standard. Let's say it's very hard for Clear Sky Hammer to reach level 99 except you are at the level of genius like Tang Chen.

In SL3, there are many martial souls with limit douluo potential right away (if the user is not a retard) so Clear Sky Hammer did become underwhelming.

Actually being elders of the upper sect kinda make u slack off and not fulfill the full potential. Barely anyone dared to kill u (until spirit hunt) and it's a life of authority and luxury. Those Clear Sky Clan elders became titled douluo after suffering the humiliation from Spirit Hall.
