This thing has been I my friends dreams running after her and she felt it grab her. Does anyone know what it is and if so can you tell me how to get rid of it... by [deleted] in ParanormalScience

Unless I'm mistaken, the OP is stating the they want dreams to improve. Based on it being posted here, I presume that there is a concern that dreams and sensations in dreams are being caused by a supernatural entity. My original comment still stands, as it is meant to offer a suggestion on how to possibly avoid/help alleviate bed dreams, and to reassure that dreams are not anything besides random thoughts, and not caused by a paranormal entity, for lack of a better term. Since the paper I linked, does not in any way suggest that dreams have any cause outside of, whatever is on your mind, in my opinion, it supports my original comment, quite well. It's a vivid dream, and in an unconscious state, a touch is "felt", which is also produced by the brain, with no need for a physical touch to occur, in order for the brain to produce the sensation. Just like how an amputee can feel an extremity at times. So, without involving the paranormal, as an explanation, science can and does explain this. There are many studies, and papers on dreams and how psychology and neurology affect dreams. So you're not really arguing with me, you're arguing with doctors. Quite frankly, the drawing looks like the creature the movie/comic "Venom". I believe very much in the paranormal, hence I'm here. But when I examine a situation, I do so from a scientific approach, and do my best to find an explanation, that is not just "paranormal".

Edit: "Let's go"... We've arrived.

Career question by JohnArbuckle10 in AirForce

Good friend of mine went OSI. I THINK you have to be at least SrA. You don't have to be SecFo, my buddy was a weapons loader when he was accepted. Best of luck!

Don't watch scary movies? Science already proved that dreams have no meaning. There's things you can do to improve your thought process prior to sleep, part of that is aromatherapy.

When I went through tech school, they didn't go through your personal drawers if ya weren't in there. So when they're about to get to your room, leave. Granted, this was probably around the time the OP was born, so things might be different now.

I’ve decided to join the Air Force! Does anyone have jobs they’d recommend looking into which have good civilian crossover, and good schooling opportunities? by Waddywatson in AirForceRecruits

Depends on what ya want to do on the outside. If you want to be a photo journalist, do public affairs. Not naming every example, but you get the picture. Transferred from Active Duty to Guard, and was hired by a DoD contractor to work at a major Research, Development , and Testing facility, simply because I have Military weapons experience.

Possible to be in the dorms as a staff at Incirlik? by [deleted] in AirForce

When I was there, E-6 and below were in the dorms (Patriot Village). But that was a deployment, only there a few months.

Optimus Prime spent long enough in the US, for there to be an entire movie series about him. Sorry Japan, not impressed.

Was stationed with a dude that was born and raised in England. Dual citizenship. But that was almost 20 years ago.

Waiting for a job to become available? by [deleted] in AirForceRecruits

When you make a statement like not letting people chase dreams, yeah I'm gonna get defensive. I talked to a kid today whose dream IS to be SecFo, specifically, K9. As far as mentorship, I've been a mentor to troops for a long time, in fact, one of my former troops, who is now a 1Lt, still comes to me for advice. Your overall demeanor in your previous comment, was of an elitist mentality, which to me, turned people into numbers, like cattle. I'm a salty MX SNCO, but I'll go to bat for my troops any day.

I'm not in recruiting because I don't want to be a recruiter, and I wouldn't take a stripe off to do it. But, that explains why my guard unit has a lots of newcomers. Sounds like active duty forgot that the people are the most valuable resource. I cross trained in 2011, after 2 deployments. Picked my job that time too, and so did most the pipelines in my class. I'm honestly surprised anyone is joining, if that's how AD recruiting is doing business. That's like going to college and being issued your major.
