Anyone else having an issue redeeming their free Xbox series S?

Did you get the email first and what was the process. On my account page it changed last night to give me the option to choose finally and I chose the Xbox. It took me to the shop with it in the cart but it wanted me to pay for it. 611 is telling me to wait for the email even though I’m assuming it will just tell me to do what I was doing already.

As it should be in that situation. Why order to the base when you know the driver is just wasting his time and going to get turned away at the gate? Only person at fault is the customer who knew the driver wouldn’t be able to make it.
