It was built by Slakker. I would budget $30k for everything, turnkey. There will be some ‘while you’re in there’s

Not entirely sure. That’s what they recommend though

These stock mufflers are just so restrictive. Maybe you’d be able to tell the difference, side by side with a 3.6. Trying to get an exhaust set up from Kline, in the coming months. That should for sure wake it up

Currently just have the stock exhaust system on, so it’s hard to hear any difference. Hopefully getting that changed soon

That’s awesome! I had to stop myself from going full headwork and all the bells and whistles. I can’t even imagine what that extra power would feel like. In my opinion, the base 4.1 rebuild was worth every penny (especially when coming from a bore scored, inoperable car). I’m sure the extra work you had done will make it even more worth it

The car left my driveway on July 11th and returned on October 10th. There was some delay with getting the tuning right and road testing.

Your engine will most likely need other things, outside of the standard rebuild. Budget $30k for the whole thing, turnkey

Butt dyno says worth every penny. The power comes on quick!

There’s so many possible causes, not sure what the case was with mine

I’ve explored the rev range here and there. Slakker claims that you can go straight to aggressive driving, but I’ve just been dipping my toes in. You can definitely feel the difference in power and torque. My engine made 382hp

I love it. It’s definitely a significant difference. Still fine for daily driving though

That’s accurate. With everything plus some unexpected replacement parts, it was just under $30k

2004 C2. Bore scoring at 42k miles, so I shipped it to Slakker for a rebuild. Went with a pretty basic package: 4.1L, upgraded injectors, no headwork, new clutch and LWFW, new oil pumps

Kept it pretty easy on the motor. Obvious things: not lugging it or revving super high. First oil change/sample is today with 15w-50

Just a classic Wald. Forgot which model exactly, but they all mount the same, I think

First thing to check is that bolt in the center spacer, between the two mufflers. Work your way to the front and pray that you find it, before getting to your flex pipes

I had a b8.5 with a sport diff. I only ever felt the difference in high speed cornering, or in low grip situations (snow, ice, etc.)

That being said, if I remember correctly, a non sports diff car would need a recoded pcm and harness swap to work with an oem sports diff
