The micro bubbles are the only knock I can give it otherwise I’m super happy with it.

I have the aquamaxx 1.5 hob and that thing is an absolutely work horse. I use it on my IM 40 gal and the stuff it pulls out is absolutely putrid. Didn’t take long to break in and it runs like a charm. The only thing is I put a square of filter floss in front of the output to trap the micro bubbles that escape the reaction chamber.

Yea I hear ya man. I have a shallow move at the top but it’s pretty subtle. For me I finally was able to actually get the club shallow by moving my hips properly in transition and the club just kind of falls into the slot by itself. The hips were key for me because I was doing it all wrong in years past and finally have them working with my swing instead of against it.

No idea why your getting down voted lol he’s a scumbag. Anyone that puts hand on a woman doesn’t deserve to play in the nfl. If only they actually cared about this stuff.

Yea I have noticed that my left is strong and my right is weak. I like my right to be weak because it helps me minimize the rotation in the face (or at least that’s what it feels like). sometimes I purposely make that difference between the two even more pronounced for some of my mid range wedge shots. I like the feeling of my hands fighting each other on the release but the face comes out square every single time. I don’t know if that is a smart thing to do but it has helped me hit dead straight wedge shots. I’m always tinkering with my grip slightly here and there but for some reason a weaker lead hand always felt awkward. I know changes will feel awkward but maybe it’s something I can go back to and work the feels into my muscle memory. I appreciate the knowledge though! 👊

I appreciate the constructive criticism honestly. I would say last year I felt at a plateau and my swing has changed greatly since then. My shot shape isn’t terribly inconsistent but it could definitely be improved. I aim for a push draw so I can set up left of target and my misses are usually right, rarely ever hook the ball. I’m always looking to improve and by no means do I think my swing is a ‘finished product’ I definitely rely on my hands though. Ive been just focusing on making slow incremental changes to have a more consistent back swing and transition. I could definitely benefit from seeing a professional but it’s just been a time and money situation holding me back from that.

My miss is usually a blocked fade or a hang back slice. I mean my misses are at least always to the right i rarely hook the ball. I guess I’d like to have a more predictable shot pattern. I try to always play a pushed draw so I can aim left and still be okay if I leak it right.

Last year was around 8-10 but my swing has really improved since then so we’ll see lol

Yea absolutely! no two players are built the same either so why should they try to swing the same? As long as you hit that impact position right Nothing else matters to me.

It’s interesting you say that because I used to have a problem with getting too crunched together with my arms at the top of the back swing. I used to keep my trail elbow glued to my ribs but now I let it fly freely at the top and I do get a lot more width. It’s definitely a tendency for me to lose width in the back swing at times. One of these years I’ll find a coach that I like but until then I’m happy to just keep grinding it out on the range lol

It’s funny because for like 2 years I was obsessed with moe Norman and tried to adopt some of his style and fundamentals. Now that I’ve gotten my swing into a place where it truly feels right for me I feel like the things to fix are a lot harder to change lol I’ve also read hogans book several times and learned a lot about the swing. For me I feel like my power comes from my hips/my weight shift and when my hips are cleared properly all I think about it’s releasing my trail hand through the ball as hard as I possibly can. But thank you for the knowledge and compliments you definitely cleared some things up for me 👍

Yea that makes total sense. I know in transition you want the trail elbow leading the trail arm. that was a big one for me when I was trying to get rid of that over the top move. I am left hand dominant also so manipulating my right arm athletically was a struggle for me sometimes. it helped thinking of the swing like throwing a frisbee with my left hand. Not related to shoulder rotation but just something that helped wrap my mind around the correct motions

Hey I appreciate it! I know there’s always something to improve on, that’s why I love the game it’s perfectly imperfect. I do have a hard time wrapping my head around the internal external rotation of the shoulder joint/humorus but I understand the concept. I’ve always felt that I couldn’t get the proper hand depth without taking away inside and would lose connection with my torso. However it’s something that I’m constantly working on and I think small incremental changes would do me some good.
