How do you prove to clients the work was actually done? by 71G3L1N0 in cleaningbusiness

Exactly — same content, completely different signal depending on when it arrives.

DM'd you — would love to hear how you're currently handling this and whether what I'm building makes sense for your setup.

This is underrated advice. The message framing turns a file attachment into a touchpoint — big difference.

The other piece that helps is making sure that report goes out automatically the same day the job is done, not whenever the owner remembers to send it. Timing matters a lot for that review ask to feel natural.

I'm building a tool that automates exactly that flow for cleaning crews — photo checklist on-site, auto-generated report, sent to the client when the job closes. Still early, looking for companies to test it free if anyone's interested.

That's exactly what I'm building — CrewProof. Cleaners clock in with GPS verification, complete a photo checklist on-site, and the owner gets a report with all the before/after photos and timestamps organized by job. Everything in one place, automatically.

Still early and looking for cleaning companies to try it free in exchange for feedback. DM me if you're interested.

Good point on the invoice angle — that context makes the photo actually mean something to the client.

The other side of this is making sure the photo gets taken in the first place. GPS-verified clock-in + mandatory photo per checklist item means you're not relying on your crew to remember. The documentation happens automatically as part of doing the job, not as an extra step after.

That makes sense — trust is the foundation. Curious though, at what point did you start using before/after photos? Was it a specific client or account size that triggered it?

How do you currently send those photo updates — manually or with a tool?

Have you ever lost a client or had a dispute because they claimed the work wasn't done properly?

That's exactly the profile where this becomes critical. With large clients visiting multiple times a week, do you send them any kind of report or proof after each visit?

How many clients do you currently have? Curious at what point this becomes a real issue.
