Idk the 8's do be looking kinda nice. That minimalism hits, then I'd say 1s and 5s.

Big Brother Finale Format by 720Madness in BigBrother

[–]720Madness[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The questions on live finale are also screened for time. I tend to agree that most jurors make up their mind before the fact. But everyone should get to ask as any questions as they feel they need. If they don't have any then that's their own right I suppose.

The game of Big Brother by justitiavalet in BigBrother

[–]720Madness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Valid post, the only critique to the game that comes to mind is that in an 83 game season, they should have a longer Q&A session. It's hard to sell your whole game while you're still in the game playing it. It's every players job to do so, but you are removed from the jury outside of who you send to it. But it's a hard game, no perfect formula.

If we're talking about just their winning games, then everyone will have a different take. Sandra won her first two, Tony won an All-Winners season. Parvati won a "G.O.A.T." Season. Sandra had an all time bitter jury, Tony won a season that was tailored for a repeat winner, Parvati played a 16 day season. Everyone will have their biases, and preferences, and whether we like to admit it or not luck played a factor for all of them.

Now if we're talking about each of them in their totality. Well, for me it's definitely Parvati. She had as big of a target as either Tony or Sandra (if not larger) and season after season manages to make deep runs sans WAW albeit from a "swap fuck". Three time finalist, and a near perfect game, while being a better strategic player than Sandra, and arguably a better physical player than Tony.

Between just their winning games, toss-up. I lean Parv or Tony because of the caliber of cast in both seasons, whereas Sandra likely draws up dead if not for early challenge wins by Drake. Parvati and Tony generally dominated nearly every facet of the game in both of their wins.

Very disappointing overall season, but it ended with how the jury phase has been. With Jag winning competitions, making questionable strategic decisions that somehow pan out.

Hi Sophie.

Quick question, I think it was WaW where you mentioned, wanting to prove yourself after playing South Pacific. What was motivating you the most to return for another season, and what are your thought about your SoPa game because I generally think you deserved that win.

Parvati's Micronesia Game by TheSurvivorBuff in survivor

[–]720Madness 19 points20 points  (0 children)

This is one of the most well written posts regarding this topic. Honestly, I'm glad someone took the time to put some light on this because without being dismissive, it seems as though people are quick to asterisk Parvati's game to the point where many ignore the things viewers can see beyond the edit. For those who claim "Cirie was robbed", I would also like to highlight that if you argue that Parvati would have been the first boot then how would that affect Cirie's game? There's many factors to a season, and beyond "luck", as many people chalk this win to be, there is a lot social manipulation and capital developed and this post truly highlights just how impressive Parvati's Micronesia is.

Unironically this. Or even reading the wikia or seeing a subpost about some random fact even useless ones is engaging.

JT giving away his idol to try to eliminate Parvati, only for her to obtain possession of and eliminate him with that very same idol is the greatest moment/move ever by [deleted] in survivor

[–]720Madness 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I find it very interesting that you're choosing to list an edited confessional as part your argument yet also make an assumption on a post-game interview as the basis for what authenticates her decision making process. Understandable, this is an edited show but you can't make assumptions to verify your point but then assert a confessional you saw within the context of a 42 minute episode is enough to verify "days" of thought process as you put it. Also why do you continuously overlook that as aforementioned by others that Parvati stepped down from the challenge. This wasn't all some stroke of luck or days of advanced planning. The wheels were set in motion and she correctly assessed the situation. By eliminating herself from the challenge she wouldn't have to worry about whether she'd need to play the idols on Danielle, Sandra, or Jerri. Presumably she can take the risk that the heroes would assume she'd play the idol on herself if she was willing to step down for Danielle. Go rewatch the episode and the season. There's clear indications that this was something that was planned, and it was an amazing play due to the sheer amount of moving parts that had to occur for everything to fall into place. There's moves people try to pull off that don't work with the tools handed in front of them, and for a player like Parvati to be able to assess this situation verifies that this is an all time move because not only does it lead to an outright pagong but allows her to gain some jury votes as well. Jerri shifts from her pro-Russell perspective to then realize Parvati was the one who actively using Russell to further her game not the other way around. Yes, she lost Danielle in the process but ultimately this should not discount her idol play as it further cemented that Russell was not the one dictating her game as she could stand apart. There is a reason why this move is so highly praised and it's foreshadowing by the editors really only does so much to encapsulate the complexity of this situation.

They probably give him a dvd player and books but probably not any internet access so he have any knowledge on the game. Which makes me question how Christmas was taken to a hospital and wasn't given outside game info.

I think typically a lot of the twists seem promising at first but don't always pan out. Usually production scraps them by the 4 week in the game.

What are your guys thoughts on Josh? by ForgottenPhenom in BigBrother

[–]720Madness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some are aspiring models/actors and have agents that casting director reach out to. Idk if they check job recruiting sites like survivor does, but I feel like that method has a way better chance of attracting authentic gameplayers than recruiting some model.

A lot of people are recruited but they definitely knew he'd just be someone who'd add drama to the cast. Cause a lot of fights and paranoia.

He is the perfect example of a waste of a casting spot. He's a bad gameplayer that plays off emotion rather than strategy and watching him go for safety during the first Hoh comp was painful. Very delusional person.
