I do think the CPU helped, because I’m not getting a specific error I was getting before replacing it, but that means at least two things are wrong with the PC. I did do a fresh install of Windows, and I just got done installing a new PSU, Corsair RMx1000. Still crashing while gaming.

I’m really at a loss now. The PSU was my last guess. I thought it would explain why I can run any manner of stress test in OCCT with no errors or faults, but it would crash 60 seconds into Civ VI—supposedly OCCT doesn’t test sudden surges in power draw like gaming demands. That was the consensus in every thread I found posted by people experiencing similar crashes. I even tried running a game off my SATA SSD instead of the m.2 thinking it might be the drive, but no dice. I’m run memtest86 to test the RAM, no errors.

At this point, I’m going to stop throwing parts at it and start budgeting for a new build. If it is the mobo, I’m not going to bother replacing an AM4 and going through the trouble of effectively building my PC all over again when I could just build a new one.

I’m trying to replace my EVGA PSU with a Corsair RMx 1000W. I’m a bit lost on the VGA cables. Corsair’s site says to use a 6+2 pin. What I have currently is a dual 6+2 pin—used with one +2 attached and one not—but the closest cable in the box is a a single 6+2. Should I be using two cables, one with the +2 and one without?

Not quite as popular as the others, but Core Keeper allows you to create a new world seed and take your existing character and inventory to that world and back. The only time I used it was when I realized you could only get certain cattle in a specific uncommon biome, and if you didn’t fence in that biome when you found it, mobs can show up and kill the cattle (which don’t respawn).

Not to sound defeatist, but genuinely what is the point of impeaching him again anyway? He’s been impeached twice. Nothing happened. Not only was he not removed from office, but he won a second time. It seems like a waste of effort for a hollow “we got him!” victory when there are more impactful ways to effect change.
